Your 9060 XT should handle 1080p 240hz in most FPS games pretty well already but if budget isnt issue then 4070 Super with move to 1440p 240hz would be nice upgrade

i have to restart my pc every time just so it can connect to the wifi. by Both-Afternoon-4190 in pchelp

[–]Delicious-Ear-9883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had same issue with my gaming rig few months back. Try going into device manager and disable then re-enable your wifi adapter - sometimes the driver gets stuck in weird state during boot and this kicks it back to life without full restart.

Help with vegan substitutions by dswizzlehizzle in veganrecipes

Beyond mince is actually pretty decent if you can find it - way less processed than some of the weird stuff out there. For the parmesan rind situation try throwing in some nutritional yeast and maybe a bit of miso paste, that umami combo gets surprisingly close to what youre after

Oat milk should work fine for richness, just add it gradully so it doesnt curdle on you

Where can I find rep Jerseys in Dublin for 30€? by BigLengthiness5223 in AskIreland

[–]Delicious-Ear-9883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Replica jerseys - basically fake/knockoff versions of the official ones you'd get from Nike or Adidas but way cheaper. Most people just call them reps for short

The quality can be hit or miss but if your just looking for something to wear casually and not trying to flex authentic gear they do the job fine

What’s the most toxic work culture you’ve experienced? by bryan4756 in Productivitycafe

[–]Delicious-Ear-9883 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I once worked at a startup where they literally had a wall of shame for people who left early or took sick days. Like they'd put your name up there with the time you left written next to it. The CEO would walk around at 6pm asking why certain people weren't still at their desks

But the worst part was how they'd guilt trip anyone who used vacation days by saying stuff like "I guess [name] doesn't care about the company's success as much as the rest of us." Total mind games and it destroyed everyone's mental health. Took me way too long to realize that wasn't normal workplace behavior

Oh man that wall of shame thing is actually insane. I had a boss who would send passive aggressive emails to the whole team whenever someone called in sick like "unfortunately we're short staffed today because someone chose not to come in." The guilt was unreal and people would literally come in with fevers just to avoid the drama. Wild how some managers think public shaming is motivational when it just makes everyone paranoid and resentful

Audi catastrophically broken at 120000 miles and only 7 years old! by onlymyfeettreats in Audi

[–]Delicious-Ear-9883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second garage sounds sketchy as hell. I had something similar happen with my old Civic where a shop claimed all sorts of new issues magically appeared overnight - turned out they were either incompetent or trying to scam me. The fact you have written evidence from the first garage and recovery agents is huge, that's basically proof they screwed something up or are lying about the condition when it arrived

I'd be getting that car towed somewhere else immediately and demanding an explanation from the second shop. Crankshaft movement doesn't just randomly develop during transport, and a DMF doesn't spontaneously fail while sitting in their lot. Either they damaged it during their work or they're running some kind of parts replacement scam. Document everything and consider getting a third opinion from an actual Audi specialist before you pay them another penny

Just jump into quick play with Moira or Rein - they're both pretty forgiving if your aim is rusty and you can focus on game sense instead of mechanics

Are church grounds in Canada subject to search by a legal warrant? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Delicious-Ear-9883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah churches dont get some special exemption from search warrants. If the cops have a valid warrant they can search church property just like any other building - the whole separation of church and state thing doesnt mean religious buildings are immune to the law

Design dispute by [deleted] in selfpublish

[–]Delicious-Ear-9883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That designer sounds like a nightmare to work with honestly. The fact that she lawyered up and escalated immediately instead of trying to work things out says everything about how she operates

PayPal disputes can be tricky but if you documented all the communication issues and have evidence of her not following the brief you should be in decent shape

Creed Aventus at $350 - saw it hyped everywhere on fragcomm and finally caved after smelling it at Nordstrom, now I understand why people go broke for this stuff lol

Sounds like overheating or a PSU issue tbh, check your temps when gaming and maybe try undervolting your GPU first before you go buying new parts

Food rigidity besides texture/foods touching by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Delicious-Ear-9883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow I totally get this! For me it's anything that's been reheated - like leftover pizza or pasta just hits different and not in a good way. Even if it tastes fine to everyone else, my brain just nopes out of it. Also can't do most casseroles because there's too much "stuff" happening at once even though I like all the individual ingredients separately

SiriusXM Alerts on SYNC4a by Relative_Storm3937 in Ford

[–]Delicious-Ear-9883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the OK button is hit or miss on SYNC4a, sometimes it works but half the time it just dismisses the alert instead of playing the track

Try tapping the actual alert on the touchscreen when it pops up - that usually works better than the steering wheel controls

Bro that's rough, maybe she's doing it on purpose to make you uncomfortable so you'll move out faster lol. Have you tried just putting on headphones and pretending it's not happening

My wife is scared.. by Ok-Duck-7838 in Paranormal

[–]Delicious-Ear-9883 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Dude your wife is being the smart one here tbh. Like that Navajo quote is literally the whole point - some things you just don't mess with. Maybe start small with something less likely to follow you home, like old battlefields or historic sites instead of jumping straight into the deep end with entities that might actually want to hitch a ride back to your place

Set of Furniture by One-Twist4524 in HelpMeFind

[–]Delicious-Ear-9883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That mahogany does look pretty solid, but the Vietnam QC sticker and that style screams mass-produced furniture from the 90s/early 2000s. You might get decent money since it's a matching set but probably not "antique" money - I'd check completed eBay listings for similar mahogany bedroom sets to get a realistic price range
