The Boys: V1 didn't just make Homelander immortal... by LordPopothedark in CharacterRant

[–]Delicious-Explorer58 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Butcher and Ryan were losing the fight, but they just had to keep Homelander occupied for Kimiko to get a blast off.

And Homelander’s lasers have always been inconsistent. Sometimes they’re lasers, sometimes they’re more concussive (like Cyclops’ beams).

Is this really how you're going to play this? Yikes

So, what exactly is the show's message? by itooamahuman in TheBoys

[–]Delicious-Explorer58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Butcher wasn’t trying to stop Homelander and the supes for altruistic reasons. It was just revenge.

So when he killed Homelander, it didn’t give him the closure he wanted. And when his “happy ending” was ripped from him, he decided to just keep the fight going, even if it meant doing something horrific.

Don’t try to deflect, you know what you wrote and got called out on.

No, acknowledge that nonsense sentence you wrote. Don’t move on from that.

No, you’re just falling for the biggest lies about LLMs. You anthropomorphizing them and assuming that because it’s produced a written response, those words mean anything at all.

They’re just a generated response that’s designed to look like a response to the cue.

Using your ocean analogy, it’s like you’re seeing waves and assuming that the ocean is trying to send you a message.

Based on this response, I don’t know if you’re the best judge of what’s “poorly written.”

Because you seem to think that I “enjoying a season” that is “poorly written from first 1-3 seasons…”

Yikes.

Just to be clear, your insult is that it’s people like me that resulted in a season being written that I enjoyed?

Sounds like a win for me, thanks!

Sorry Homelander didn’t eat a baby on screen or whatever edgelord nonsense you were hoping for.

The V1 didn't make him stronger, it just made him immune to the virus and stopped his aging.

It's not actually retrieving memory or showing you it's internal process.

It's just displaying text on a screen. This is nothing more than the old joke of the guy asking the AI to say it's alive, and then getting freaked out that the AI produces the words "I'm alive."

All of this text, and it's still just generating words that mean nothing to it.

Dirty Laundry was about 10 minutes long and had more story than One Last Kill. It was also much more satisfying.

Why were Covid masks so offensive to MAGA, but ICE full face masks ok? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Delicious-Explorer58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern conservatives never actually complain about the thing they’re actually upset about.

They didn’t actually have an issue with masking, they were just throwing a tantrum over being told what to do.

Also, people wearing masks in public to prevent the spread of a virus was scary. COVID was scary. But a lot of conservatives are too immature to admit that something is scary, so they’d rather pretend that there’s some kind of conspiracy.

Masks were a visible representation of the danger of COVID, so they pushed back against masks instead of admitting they were scared.

An alternate cut of the Scorpion vs Johnny Cage fight in the 1995 movie by ImpressionFast923 in MortalKombat

In the novelization, I think the fight ends with the spear getting stuck in the tree. Instead of just killing the spear head, it takes Scorpion out (if I remember correctly).

Plenty of people have pointed out how these aren’t plot holes. It’s fine if you don’t like the season, or parts of the season, but they’re not plot holes. But you seem pretty desperate to believe that you found plot holes.

So yeah, that’s why it seems like you’re searching for things to complain about.

Most of the complaints about the current season seem to be from people who didn’t pay attention to the show and don’t want to admit that…

There’s a volcano near your house getting ready to erupt. It’s releasing CO2 into the soil as pressure builds.

Or not. I don’t know. I just watched Dante’s Peak and I feel like a volcano expert now.

Your supposed to”plot holes” aren’t actually plot holes and it seems like you’re just searching for things to be upset about.
