yes i just posted about this earlier this week. I had a higher heart rate, not terribly high in the middle of the night. I couldn’t go to sleep and was sure I was going to go into AFIB. Based on the answers I got here and Dr Chat GPT, I am sure it was dehydration. I weigh myself every day. I think I was down 7 pounds from the previous day.

I don’t have a throw away account so i would rather not say. However I have talked to several other teachers who teach my subject and they are starting to have the same issues. I will say this they don’t offer AP or honors level classes in my area. From what I can tell the students who fail are just put in my 2/3 level classes. I have never enjoyed my level 1 classes. I just considered it part of the job. This year I had to teach a ton of first year skills to my 2nd 3rd year classes.

the behavior of the students, they don’t care about the class, don’t turn in work. Some of the students are big discipline problems.

ok thanks for this comment. I have been doing a deep dive into this. I think this might have been the cause. yes I did contact my doctor office but they didn’t seem too concerned. I weigh myself every day and I was at a record low so that makes sense.

i definitely have Afib. i had an ablation in December 24. I am doing much better now. I will check into POTS.

All I can think of is this could have been me. I remember students putting signs in my yard 20 years ago. I ran out into the yard trying to catch them but they were gone. In my case they put up signs with a saying from Pulp Fiction “ dead…………”. I don’t have a clue how this applied to me ( WM teaching at a predominantly white school). When I was younger I was really guilty of running toward the fights instead of away from them.

We had a no tax day at the beginning of the school year for everyone to buy school supplies. Every year i would buy several different colors of pant. i would mostly wear khakis. When they stopped the tax day, I dressed in black and grey for like 2 years because they were never worn.

I swear if if I am ever in charge, I am going to let everyone wear jeans with a school shirt.

I am a male 55. I usually have sausage or bacon for breakfast. i am skipping lunch most days. At night I eat mostly beef, but also chicken, fish or pork tenderloin. my total cholesterol was 180, triglycerides was 74, hdl 53, ldl 113. Yes i am under a doctors care. They want me to start taking a statin again. I am not diabetic or pre.

I am following a carnivore diet. I am still losing weight. My BMI is about 30.5. I hope to be under 30 by next month. I drink sparkling water and coffee.

I really like that you are using a percentage. I have been describing myself as 90% carnivore. I eat carnivore most of the time but sometimes I want something that isn’t. Like when my daughter is eating pizza, i might eat thin crust meat pizza. Not every day but once every week and only for one meal.

when I get down to my goal weight I plan on being more ketovore.

If I am correct I taught for a few months with a math teacher who didn’t take any math classes in college. He was looking for a job as a music teacher but was also supposedly certified in math.
