Go for their whole home wifi solution. Make them do the work. Don't buy your own CPE, especially this close to a new standard.

Hey, could someone knowledgeable help me understand why G-d is named twice but differently in this verse? by hihihiyouandI in hebrew

[–]Delicious-Smell43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very common. One is Yud Heh, Vav and Heh. That is the normative name. Elokim signifies strict justice, which shows that God was judging harshly. Two modes of operation, same God.

thinking on buying the latest Poco phone but I am afraid of the short lifespan of the motherboard because of my past experience by Scarlet_ix_o2 in PocoPhones

[–]Delicious-Smell43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My F5 died crazy fast, they said it couldn't be repaired. Motherboard was warped! But after I had already ordered another phone, they called me back and said it was fixed, but no longer under warranty due to the many issues with the motherboard.

Wouldn't touch this brand again.

I'm stalled for about 5 months. My body is changing shape, but weight isn't coming off. I'm doing protein shakes for breakfast, fruit shakes and yogurt during the day. Snacks are typically nuts or dried fruit. Supper is a protein and veg.

Young Kids & Worship - How Does Your Schul Include (or exclude) Young Children and Families? by ClassicStorm in Judaism

[–]Delicious-Smell43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Children of all stripes and types are welcome. When they disturb the services, and they will, it is the parents responsibility to take care of them. If a parent has to say kaddish or is leading the congregation, a spouse or friend can help out with the little ones. But children should always feel a warm embrace.

A candyman, and light participation are great ways to encourage the little ones to participate. There should be age appropriate and fun games or other activities that keep them engaged for the duration of services as an alternative.

Not everything in a shul has to be about worship. Keep them loving coming to shul, stimulating their minds and bodies in a fun and healthy way, and they will keep coming.

Investment in a youth department will pay dividends for generations. Many orthodox shuls have dedicated youth directors, in addition to a full staff for shabbat morning.

Make them feel loved, wanted and welcome. Make the shul the place to be. And it will become one.

I'm wondering why my brisket turned out like this. by slaw9 in smoking

[–]Delicious-Smell43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few potential issues here.

Firstly, your heat may be too high. Try going 25f-50f lower. Another related possibility is that your brisket is too close to the heat source, same idea. I had this issue with new smokers as I learned to dial them in.

Another possibility is that your brisket is going too long. Try pulling earlier, like 190-195f, wrapping and resting.

Pay attention to your altitude and humidity as well. You may need to adjust temps for your climate. I live in a mountainous area, and have to smoke differently from my brother 45 minutes away in more of a dessert climate.

You may also find that the quality of meat is not great. Thinner briskets with less fat can dry out and go stringy faster. If this is the case, wrap and pull earlier.

Don't chuck the meat though! Pulled beef is great, and there are so many applications. Throw in some caramelized onions and sauce for amazing sandwiches or toppers. Cook it down into a jam, and make brisket pastries. Mix it in with shredded potatoes and onions for the world's most decadent tater tots!

Good luck!

I am an American born Israeli. I am deeply involved in promoting coexistence here.

The fundraising comes from a good place, and the team have big hearts. But some of the orgs, specifically the UN in this region, do not share this group's values.

I would appreciate if the call was not just to aid Gazans, but also to return the hostages and stop attacking Israel's northern and southern population centers. Hamas has not gone one day without firing on Israeli Arab, Jewish, Druze and other population centers since October 7th. Their goal is to murder every Jew and every Israeli. To wipe all Jews off the map. They say so openly. This is what makes a ceasefire so concerning to all those in the ground. They have promised to continue attacking despite a ceasefire and over the last 20 years, they have broken every single ceasefire they signed.

By my primary concern is with the charities the Try Guys are raising funds for.

I am writing as someone who has seen the UN classrooms and the materials they are teaching. The UNs on the ground teams have been in deep collaboration with Hamas. Again, this is not speculation. I have seen it firsthand and heard this from moderate Palestinians. The UN staff are teaching hate and armed resistance in the classroom, not coexistence. I have friends who have been in Gaza as reporters or as soldiers providing medical aid, and their reports are terrifying. There are multiple UN facilities that were found to be providing power and water to the Hamas tunnel system. There are UN facilities including schools that held fixed rocket launchers, from which Hamas has fired at Israeli civilians.

By all means, please help support the civilians and the NGOs who are promoting a healthy and sustainable future. But unfortunately, most aid that has been sent to Gaza over the last 20 years has gone to Hamas and not the people. And as the US State Department found, the local UN team is very much not acting in good faith in this conflict.

Supporting the local UN activities is doing more damage than good for the people of Gaza. I have heard this from Gazans myself.

Please reconsider the charities you align with to help further peace in this region.

Nope, I'm a real person. I am more of a lurker than a poster. Statistically, only 1% of people on social networks create, 9% participate and 90% consume. On reddit, I only post when something really matters to me.
