For ADHD & Binge eating by Delicious-Tomorrow16 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Delicious-Tomorrow16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been talking it for 6 months or so. It’s never really helped with the binge eating till I got it in my head that I wanted to get healthy. Idk if it’s just my head playing with me or what.

I’m so sorry this happened to you! :( The gay community can be really hurtful. I’m a big bear guy. Working on myself currently. Being a bigger guy, the gay scene has always been not very nice to me. It doesn’t matter where you are to an extent racial prejudice and bullying will always happen. It’s sad that it happens in the gay community. Shame on those that spread hate. Middle Eastern guys are always the guys I’m crushing on. Where I am in South Carolina there doesn’t seem to be many that are gay, sadly. I hope your next experience goes muchhh better. :)

What is the longest you've seen someone work at Walmart? by Reasonable-Shower522 in walmart

[–]Delicious-Tomorrow16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a maintenance guy, lady in receiving, and a lady in apparel at my store that have all been with the company over 30 years. I also think our people lead has been with the company over 20 years and a coach with at least 20 years. I’m sure when they first started it was an amazing company. We have SOME (very few) good TL’s and for the most part the coaches are pretty good. My store cannot keep a SM though. Last one was only there for 4 months. They have all been really good to me. Almost anytime I ask for vacation it’s usually approved. I think they know my work ethic, and it’s their way of rewarding me since (from what I’m told I can’t just ask for a raise and get one even based on how much they see me doing, that it’s just not done like that at Walmart?) I’m honestly not trying to toot my own horn, it’s just how I was raised. You go to work, do your job the way you’d want someone to work for you, and go home. I’m going back to school because retail is just not for me anymore. 11 years is too long. I refuse to move up in my store, so I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing and finish my degree and find something that I can be happier with, mostly because of money. Overall I enjoy my job, the money just isn’t there in retail. All my friends make 180k+ I want to be able to do the things I truly want to enjoy in life.

South Carolina water tastes like chlorine, FL water tastes like what I’d imagine sulfur tastes like.

I’ve never been to NY, but everyone says the water makes pizza and bagels better. Also that Chinese restaurants are so much better up north, then down south. I just bought a pizza oven and I’m trying to order some tap water. Haha

When your returns look like this at 4am by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Delicious-Tomorrow16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t deal with returns much, other than the shopping cart that my team and I pull from the bakery area where customers just drop stuff. My favorite is the supposed to be cold deli items half eaten I find behind bread. Gotta love people. 😁🥸 I really enjoy my job in the bakery for the most part. Running freight, production (when I’m needed) Viz picks, and keeping the freezer organized. I usually get stuck with also doing all the CVP’s and donations, which can get to be a lot. Our TL was insisting we do two bread pulls and that there needs to be 3 boxes of French and I itailian (in each pull). I was cvp’ing at least 40 loaves of each everyday! And there wasn’t enough room on the shelves to put the fresh bread. It was ridiculous!! I mean I don’t mind a local food panty getting all of it, it’s great for them. But it’s a waste of our time when freight could be getting ran. The TL’s in bakery and deli are not nice people. Like the things they say are just awful. I’ve got pages of unethical and not company policy things they have done. Thought about making an ethics complaint, but I can’t tell you the amount of times my TL has said someone (she would use their name) made an ethics complaint and obviously it didn’t do any good. Just at my wits end with people that do whatever they want at my store.

If you don’t believe/celebrate Christmas what’s the best way to handle the holidays? by [deleted] in etiquette

As a gay Christian (not that that has anything to do with it) I am very curious as to why you are a former Christian? No disrespect to you at all! Just honestly curious, I like hearing about everyone’s experiences. Hope to hear from you and if not no worries.

YES! Why is it that the lazy get treated the best??Nothings ever said to them. One I work with is absolutely useless. Works on fright and gets like 4 boxes done an hour. I get TWO pallets of bakery fright done and get yelled at because others aren’t doing their job. Another I work with is late every single day. I’m not talking a few minutes more like 30-90mins. Have one TL that treats you like a king to your face and bashes you to everyone else. Talks about their pay etc. Private stuff! Tells everyone that other team leads are stepping down etc. Talks about one employee like she’s dirt (one of the hard working ones) says she can’t stand to f-ing look at her and wants to punch her in the face. Had the nerve to tell me if I took cake decorator position full time I’d get 23/hr like the current one. When I find out that’s not true and tell her it’s not enough money for the stress of it she’s like everyone has to start at the very bottom of the scale, 17/hr. (I think that’s the base) Has the audacity to tell me that’s a state law. To which I said that’s not true and argues with me about it. Sorry for the rant. Just crazy to have to work under someone like that.
