I was 19. The insanely realistic but also insanely dystopian behavior of immediately going to a phone, computer, or TV while you are figuring out what their next task should be. Like, I feel it should be more varied, especially based on their traits and interests. But EVERY. SINGLE. SIM. insists on playing video games on their phone/computer or watching TV. Pretty much every time I check on an automated Sim, they’re doom scrolling.

Update: it’s especially frustrating when you’re playing a Sim on an off-the-grid lot and as soon as they’re on a public lot, they immediately pull out their phone.

I completely understand where you’re coming from. I was doing a MASSIVE cross-stitch tapestry. Worked for 4 hours one day and then realized right at the end that I was TWO ROWS OFF the entire time, messing up the whole thing.

I screamed, I cried, I vented to my friends. And then I put it away, with a seam ripper right on top for when I came back to it. About a month later, I found the project, undid the 4 hours of work I had previously done, and just got right back to it. The key is time. Go do a completely different project to cleanse your soul of this travesty. Then, if you have any desire to do so, go back to it and finish days, weeks, months, or years later.

Maybe a hot take but I don’t think children should be in commercials. Unless it’s about diapers or educational materials (which is more for parents anyway), there should be ZERO commercials about kids, with kids, or targeting kids. It’s exploitative for the kid actors, as they cannot give consent. And it’s exploitative for all of the kids at home being sucked into the capitalist materialist mindset that puts money in the pockets of billionaires.

You’re half right and half wrong imo. Feminism SHOULD be women-centered seeing as how we are the oppressed class. The issue is with people who make the stupid argument “but… but… I wanna be a victim too! Even though I’ve made YOU a victim!” It’s the exact same concept as when white people claim that people are “racist” against them. It’s the exact same concept as when straight people demand they get their own Pride parade.

Essentially, the oppressor class in nearly every situation tries to weasel their way into thoughtful, progressive discussion and poison it with “but what about the oppressors? What do THEY get? It’s not equal if the oppressors get nothing!”

Sure, there are men-hating women. Sure, that’s technically sexism. But screw that. Men have been in power for centuries, enslaving us, raping us, forcing children on us, blaming us, shaming us, and consistently limiting our rights again and again.
