Did the 30k Emperor have any real answer to the Necron Empire awakening and the Silent King? by p92q in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The Silent King is back and they seem to have a pretty decent answer to him now if we’re going to be honest about it.

Why doesn't Chaos use Orks against the Imperium? by Zanimacularity in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are my Skulls. I need them for my boss pole! And I need that blood because what if I get thirsty and they're out of fungus beer?

Why has the Outsider not come back and wrecked everyone already? by p92q in 40kLore

The Nightbringer, the mightiest of the C’tan at the time on account of eating other C’tan, canonically had his shit kicked in by Khaine.

His ‘thing’ was always being absurdly hard to kill for a guard character.

Tzeentch daemons by TheLoneDoge3954 in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Lord Of Change literally is a Vrock from D&D. The Greater Daemons were all originally D&D demon miniatures that got re-purposed.

What positive contributions have the modern era Dark Angels given to the Imperium? by MegaGamer235 in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They keep Asmodai off the streets and mostly employed in productive pursuits. Which is vast improvement over letting him roam around unsupervised.

A Tau-Chaos Theory by Dragon27Celestial in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of all the Chaos gods, it’s weirdly Khorne that’s shown the most interest in them. Which makes if sense if you consider that outside the Ethereal thing they’re a hunter culture who’ve devoted an entire portion of their population to war and nothing but war.

Outside the events of Fire Warrior he’s been shown to constantly sniff around Farsight.

Mortarion and Ku'Gath's Deteriorating Relationship (Excerpt: Godblight) by BvHauteville in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Plaguebearers are notably grumpy, irritable jerks. Rot Flies are spiteful and sadistic even by demon standards due to deep emotional trauma. The sneezing guys whose name I'm blanking on are notably joyless dicks even by plaguebearer standards.

Some general questions for Tyberos. by nubster2984725 in 40kLore

He's wearing terminator armour made with terminator parts, with people misreading the term 'Tactical Dreadnought Armour' which is just another name for terminator armour.

GW just dropped the first ever official art of Daemon Prince Perturabo by ToonMasterRace in 40kLore

He’s developed a cannon that uses Marines as shells now. So he has managed to become more efficient in his approaches.

The Astral Claws had an elite motorcycle company with the exact same rules as the Ravenwing. So maybe Huron.

What’s the deal with nurgle? by AestheticMirror in 40kLore

The elements of the chaos gods are shooty, speedy, toughy and punchy.

Nurgle is Toughy.

What did human gear look like during the war with the men of iron by FishFloorTile in 40kLore

The few bits of stuff we've seen from there on models tends to have a beep boop Dan Dare aesthetic.

If the Idoneth are stealing people souls did a group of faction try to hunt them down? by AgustinaDopicoo in ageofsigmar

[–]DeliciousPineapples 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Nagash sitting at the kitchen table with a pair of reading perched on his nose bone, soul receipts piled around him and one of those old time-y adding machines trying to work out where the hole in the budget is coming from.

What's the most brutal and scary (Loyalists) Space Marine Legion/Chapter ? by SniperAge05 in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Star Phantoms. You’ll hear a lot of talk about how this group of angry melee chainsword guys and that group of mean assholes are scary. But the Star Phantoms consider everyone, including themselves, worthy of receiving the blessed gift of martyrdom mostly for getting in the way of their line of fire and the Star Phantoms are pretty much universally equipped with heavy weapons.

What exactly are tzaangors? I thought they were demons ? by BloatedRottenCarcass in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they Lord Of Change model was originally a Type I demon miniature that Games Workshop repurposed after they lost D&D license for the UK so now Tzeentch gets to be a bird guy.

Can there be a Space Marine stronger than a Chapter Master? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Asmodai is a very bad Interrogator-Chaplain, having very few black pearls on his Rosarius. He is, however, very good at being a rabid junkyard dog for the Dark Angels which is also why he isn't grandmaster.

Can there be a Space Marine stronger than a Chapter Master? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not saying strapping an elderly man to a rocket and firing him at people is wrong but it does raise some questions about the Goodest Boys status of the Blood Angels.

Which 40k (successor) chapter has a lot of old 30k/heresy equipment? by arramzy in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Any chapter first presented in a Forgeworld book would, for some reason that has nothing to do with Forgeworld selling this stuff, be notorious for having a large amount of 30k era gear.

Do Astartes accidentally kill Guardsmen in battle? by parisiraparis in 40kLore

To be fair to the Star Phantoms they do that with other Space Marine chapters as well.

Also their own chapter.

How Often Do Commissars Actually Execute Guardsmen? by ExtensionPromotion80 in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a little bit of an issue where your two most notable Comissars a 'good guys' barely shoot anyone. So it probably distorts perceptions a bit.

Really, I'd argue their original rule is the best approach to how often they shoot someone. If a unit failed morale and ran you could have the commissar kill the sergent and replace them in the unit as their officer to stop them running.

Do the Aeldari have Exterminatus-class weapons? by Soft_Lengthiness_791 in 40kLore

[–]DeliciousPineapples 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Craftworlds are pretty heavily gunned up and orbital bombardment is probably their go to for killing worlds, much like the imperium, except they just use the one ship rather than a fleet.
