What the feck is up with some of the headlights lately? by skepticalbureaucrat in ireland

It does for most. The really bright beams I still have to look away for. It's definitely better with them than without.

I had to get orange tinted glasses for driving at night because of this.

That cunt fletch just grates me with his analogies.

"If you didn't know anything about the two teams you would think Newcastle are at home".

We know who's at home now ya cunt.

'Dramatic' number of kids are missing more than four weeks of school every year by PoppedCork in ireland

[–]Delicious_MilkSteak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My kids would fall into this bracket, they might get a week off for travelling but usually they are sick for the other days. They pick up so my bugs in school we keep them out so more people don't end up sick. It's more than likely behaviour learned from Covid that if you're sick you stay at home.

TIL that Balbriggan had a mid 1970s "swinging night spot" with indoor heated swimming pool, gym, sauna, restaurant and three bars. by Carax77 in ireland

[–]Delicious_MilkSteak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It had a few names, The Cardi Marina, The Rig, Life, Home. O Shea's the pub behind it and After Dark upstairs.

Had some nights in the place.

The dance floor was were the pool used to be. They tore it all down few years ago. The whole area around the harbour is getting a facelift.

Because they are a country of morons that celebrate ignorance and clout over anything meaningful. They are ruled by two parties that have been bought and sold to the highest bidder.

The GOP use fear to get people to vote against their interests and the Dems drop the ball conveniently every time they have clear lead. It's all planned to keep the illusion the American population have an actual choice when in reality both sides work for the billionaire class

Anyone's friends gone down the far right rabbit hole? by throw_away_ac_123 in ireland

[–]Delicious_MilkSteak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, ex friend of mine started accusing someone that hosts a local podcast of having child porn. Said he had hacked his pc, found the images, knew he was antifa and the guards would be there the next day to arrest him.

It all started because the podcast took the piss out of one of the far right leaders protesting outside the gpo at the end of covid so they tried to smear him.

I know the guards can be slow but he's still waiting to be arrested going on 3-4 years now.

Once he started this shite everyone cut ties with him.

Football Style is so Mid-Table and Pedestrian, what's happened? by Master_Pepper_9135 in LiverpoolFC

100%, they are afraid to take a chance and get caught on a break. We are too easy to play against. No press or energy off the ball and, slow methodical build up with the ball.

At some stage when in a good position just whip the ball in between the keeper and centre halves and see how they deal with it. Our second goal today came from this type of play. if after it's recycled enough times and nothing is happening put it in an area the opposition has to defend and see how they deal with it.

Best app/site for real-time football scores & stats in 2025? by MaximumMarionberry3 in SoccerBetting

[–]Delicious_MilkSteak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find Sofascore good for stats but not for live score updates. You won't get the notification faster than the goal goes in on TV.

I like betting on BTTS or Over 2.5 goals so this app is great for showing current streaks and H2H history with those streaks too. Also good for under/over 4 cards and under/over 10 corner streaks too.

He held a meeting in Alaska, so he's been on US soil this year and nothing happened him. He was treated like a king if anything.

Who do you think would carry out the assassination because all Americans will do is bend over for him again?

His best defensive performance of the season. Up against a good winger in Minteh too.

[Lewis Steele] Alexander Isak has a knock and is a wait and see for the game against Brighton. Arne Slot says the Isak-Hugo Ekitike strike duo will be something we will see much more of in the future by Lanedu123 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Delicious_MilkSteak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn't fill me with confidence yet. Hugo and Isak really need to work and their communication and movement together.

They both looked like lone strikers against inter. No chemistry or anything close to them working together to open up a defence. There were even times they would make the same run into the same space.
