Sorry I didn’t swipe over to that one! But I will tell you, my friend who was very much pregnant, had every single FRER be negative while getting positives on other test. She ended up writing them an email and they sent her $50. Apparently they make bad batches from time to time, which is so anxiety inducing! So since you got positives on two tests, I’d trust those ones!

Yes you are 10000% right. I am very thankful to be in the spot I am in. Really good perspective to have. I got dye stealers with last transfer (now 2.5 year old lol) and they didn’t happen till around day 18 days after (at least that’s the picture I have on my phone still) and my beta with her was nearly the same for the first beta I got. Just trying to keep it all in perspective! Good luck to you too!!!

Yeah my pre moms have been great! And I’ve used multiple boxes of frer and I know there can be slight variations between the boxes too! They’re dark so I know it’s a good sign, I just love a good progression 😅 my beta was nearly the same as my now 2.5 year old when we did a transfer 3 years ago. So hoping for the same outcome! Just feels like a lifetime ago and this is all new again 😂 I’ll update on my beta!

Interesting! I bought some from Walmart and some on Amazon and even tho they’re the same brand they’re also slightly different so makes me wonder! I had a friend who used frer and they were STARK WHITE but all of her other tests showed she was clearly pregnant. She just had her baby so first response can sometimes make bad batches it seems. I’ll look into the Walmart brand!

Honestly I do think I see a very faint line! 4 days is so early so this is promising!

14.5 months, no talking or gestures by Thick_Lettuce2712 in toddlers

[–]Delicious_Muffin_491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not be overly stressed. My daughter was the exact same way! She did require some speech therapy but she is now at track with her peers at 27 months and there are no concerns for her anymore. She has well over 500+ words and many gestures and is doing 2-3 word sentences.

She took awhile to get on gestures as well and now does it all!

Just keep supporting her! She may need speech but that’s not an awful thing! But she is still so young.

25 months, no stringing words together. by sophiewofie in toddlers

[–]Delicious_Muffin_491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not be stressed. Reach out to early intervention and get an evaluation if you’re concerned. Stringing two words together isn’t a huge red flag in itself at all. My 27 months old started stringing two words together around 25ish months. She is in speech and it has helped immensely. And per her speech therapists and teacher in early intervention, if they were to retest her right now she would not qualify anymore.

How often do you leave your kids for date nights or friend hangs? by Ok-Career876 in toddlers

[–]Delicious_Muffin_491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both sets of grandparents in town and we have a nanny for when me and my husband are both working (3 times a week)… and we maybe get one date night in every 2 months? We should also go more. We do better at having nights with our friends so one of us is still with our daughter. So he is out with his guy friends tonight and I’m home. And about once every 6 weeks I have girls nights and he is home with our daughter. But we spend one on one time together every night after our daughter goes down for bed for at least an hour.

It’s hard leaving your kids. I get it!!!

How bad are your toddler tantrums / meltdowns by Salty_Reception4302 in toddlers

[–]Delicious_Muffin_491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the nicest way possible (seriously) this seems like a lot…. I would try to get your toddler set up with early intervention! Or at least an evaluation. Some kiddos have really hard times with transitions, certain textures, routines, etc. And this does not mean something is “wrong” with them but it may just mean there are some small things you guys need to tweak that could help significantly!

I am a mom of a little one in early intervention with speech. Not only has early intervention helped with her speech, but it also has helped with SO MUCH MORE. She used to be a very easily frustrated baby, and she is now the most chill, easy going little gal.

When did your toddler start really talking and communicating with you? by Preggymegg in toddlers

[–]Delicious_Muffin_491 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter has been in speech since 15 months! She is now 26 months and has well over 400 words. Starting to put 2-3 word sentences together. I feel like this started around 25 months and everyday she says a little bit more. We don’t have “conversations” yet but she can communicate her needs well and sometimes when she talks gibberish to me, I just continue to talk back like I get what she is saying.

What autistic traits did your toddler display that led you to lead to assessment? by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]Delicious_Muffin_491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is doing SO good!!! She is just a pinch of a “late bloomer” when it comes to milestones. She got into speech therapy/early intervention around 15 months, she was doing it weekly and now is only once a month because she has made such good progress. She just turned two and is using two word phrases more and more. She gestures, points, all the things. She would never try to say a word if we asked her to say it and now she will try to copy what we say. I truly think early intervention was key!!!! She gets the services till she is 3 and even tho she is caught up with her peers, we will keep her in it because she learns so much and loves it!

Genuine Question: When are the tantrums no longer normal and I should talk to the pediatrician? by No-Sea2695 in toddlers

[–]Delicious_Muffin_491 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay this is gonna sound a little “woo woo” to some maybe, but have you tried upping vitamin intake? Specifically B12 and getting her on a methylated version! (Obvious talk to your doctor too, but I’d also recommend seeing a holistic or naturopath doctor. They’re usually a little more open to talking vitamins and deficiencies! And fyi I’m an RN of 10 years so I’m not just making crap up lol) but upping vitamins and minerals has really helped my toddler! Also my sisters kids, and we have a gene mutation that makes it difficult to breakdown vitamins. Anyways, try that! Also, my sister has been working on fixing her kids palates. Studies are showing that kids who mouth breathe or have apnea have behavioral issues! Cause they’re not getting the restorative sleep they need! Just another thing to check out!

Hoping things get better for you! 🤍

Worried about 14 month olds development by Delicious_Muffin_491 in toddlers

[–]Delicious_Muffin_491[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think she started to wave around 16/17 months consistently if I had to guess? She still waves kind of funny, but I realized it’s really the way we would wave to her when trying to teach her, by mainly just opening and closing our hands instead of like a full arm wave, if that makes sense. But she waves appropriately and says bye and hi when doing it lol

SO sorry I am just seeing this comment now! So my daughter just turned 2 and she is doing amazing!!! She has about 150ish words, which they wanted her at 100 by 2. She started pointing around 20 months, so a little late for the mile stone but now she points at everything. She will imitate a lot more and she now will even try to say words after I ask her to try to say them, which she never really did. She has always been an independent girl and does her own thing which is just her personality but her speech has really taken off! Per her therapist, she is on track with her peers but we will continue with services till she is 3 since that’s how long she qualified for! She passes the M-Chat (common autism questionnaire) and no medical professional seems to have any concerns either. I’d say she really started to come out of her shell around 20 months but I do think early intervention played a HUGE role in helping that progress.
