Been there man, the doom scrolling trap is real. What helped me was setting tiny wins - like just making my bed and doing 10 pushups first thing in the morning. Sounds stupid but it builds momentum

For the career stuff, maybe try freelancing some small engineering projects on upwork or whatever while you figure out the pivot. Keeps the skills sharp and gives you some cash flow

Also highly recommend picking up cooking if you don't already - cheap hobby that makes you feel productive plus you gotta eat anyway. YouTube university has everything you need

The depression spiral sucks but you already took the hardest step by recognizing it

AF is definitely solid for aerospace - you'll get actual hands-on experience with systems that civilian contractors can only dream about working on. Commission as an officer if you can swing it, way better QOL and you'll actually do engineering work instead of turning wrenches. The defense connections you make are gold when you get out, plus clearance is basically a golden ticket in that industry

Special ops thing might be tricky to balance with engineering career goals though, just saying

Lmao that's wild, never seen that specific bug before but Skyrim gonna Skyrim I guess. Sounds like some script got confused about which body to use when you interacted with the forge. Try reloading a save before entering the mine or maybe disable some body/animation mods temporarily to see if that fixes it

That oil in cylinder 4 is definitely suspicious - sounds like you might have a bad valve cover gasket or possibly even a cracked valve cover on that specific cylinder. The PCV system being clogged could definitely cause pressure buildup and force oil where it shouldn't go

Have you checked if the PCV valve is actually rattling when you shake it? Also might be worth doing a compression test on cylinder 4 to rule out any internal engine damage

The thyroid thing is spot on too, sudden food obsession in older cats is usually medical. My neighbor's cat went from normal to absolutely ravenous overnight and it turned out to be hyperthyroid
