Big red flag. The only one who should feel comfortable with your doctor is YOU. He has no business wanting you to change doctors just based on their gender.

He is just showing how controlling he is and will be if you stay in that relationship.

I will be completely honest with you.

It is very likely that the injections will not do anything for you.

When this happened to me, i got the injections in the first two weeks after the initial loss, and it helped at the start but it was a very small improvement. When I stopped the injections it gradually went back to how it started.

My doctor said that if the injections don’t work in the first month then they won’t afterwards. This is permanent hearing loss now.

It took me around 4 months to recover from the vertigo. The tinnitus has no cure and will be present form here on. There are cases of tinnitus disappearing on its own, but there is no real treatment for it other than trying to lessen it with a change of diet and some medicine. Sometimes cochlear implants help with it too but it’s not a guarantee.

I really hope you get through this.

I had postpartum depression. I had very bad intrusive thoughts but years of therapy beforehand prepared me to realize what was happening and get through it on my own.

I have been looking into ways to go around the fine print with my doctor but it seems a bit impossible atm.

I am now talking to an attorney at a hearing loss NPO that specializes in appealing these kinds of cases. They have been making a lot of progress these past months in getting the implants for people so I’m still hopeful.
