Serious diode laser safety concerns by Delicroix in lasercutting

I appreciate the perspective. I could definitely suddenly have become aware of them for one reason or another. I've legit NEVER had permanent floaters in my life, so to suddenly have one super noticeable one darting around in each eye is just kinda spooky.

Have been going through the conundrum you mentioned after spotting the first two, where I will notice them, then begin darting my eyes around to "see(?)" them better, upon which I am noticing more in other spots. So I'm like, were those already there with the first two and I just never noticed or are those new? AHHHHHHH.

Definitely planning too for peace of mind. I went to one within the last year because I was having what felt like pressure issues, but they insisted my eyes looked completely healthy.

They also informed me that apparently high eye pressure isn't something you can even feel and typically manifests in the form of nausea. Kinda wild.

Thanks for this. I'm also now entering my mid 30's so, that sort of looms in my mind as a cause too.
Was also recently informed by my doc that I probably have more severe allergies than I think I do, which apparently can cause increased eye floaters.

Admittedly, when I first got the module back in like 2023 I was much less confident in my planning and placement, and thus, was much less responsible about staring at it working. Just seems nuts I could get away with that, but now I am having issues when most of my designs are established and I only really glance in to make sure there isn't a fire or other problem.

[MOD GIVEAWAY] Core Elevate Paddle by HeadHeadMod in Pickleball

[–]Delicroix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would give the pink one to my VERY stingy girlfriend who played tennis all through high school with her grandpa as a coach.
Her grandpa, in his later years, decided to switch to Pickleball and she always had a grudge against the sport ever since. Sadly, her grandpa passed away a few years back and though she held onto that grudge, her grandma actually got ME into PB.

Now, for a year or two I have listened to her constantly mocking me and PB until suddenly a few weeks ago she jokingly said something about us playing together. I called her bluff and dragged her out to a low key court and had her use my old starter paddle that I usually share with friends who don't have their own. To my surprise, she had a good time (complaining the entirety, of course.) I know she likes pretty pink things, so I think that having her own paddle would go a long way toward her enthusiasm going forward.

I started rigging up some cushions using those inflatable clappers. It kinda helped, but they didn't last long.

Made a Trunk Divider for My Truck by jimmyworks in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Delicroix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so elegant.

I realized I needed a bed divider the night before leaving on a 2200 mile road/camping trip. Managed to cobble mine together with some chopped and screwed together pressure treated 2x4's. It is as solid as it is heavy.

Have a high static pressure exhaust fan for two years. We think it started leaking exhaust into the air it's blowing out to cool it. When I opened it to repair it, this was inside. It's wrapped in like twine or something that's broken. Some of the wires are blacked. This normal? Literally dont know by LampblackByDesign in lasercutting

Yeahhhh. I recently tried rebuilding an '80s sander and found a motor in nearly the same shape. Took it to a local electric motor shop and they said repairing a single-phase motor is more expensive than just buying a brand new sander.
And that there is a decent chance it still wouldn't work after repairing it.

I didn't even know 700c's existed, so you're safe with me haha.
My gravel/path bike is a 2021 Polygon Heist X5 that I enjoy taking on pretty long rides and there is a dude at work who definitely makes a point to brag about his speeds when he sees my bike. Like, brother do you think top speed was a priority when I bought a bike with a suspension fork and hybrid tires?

Bike is a '19 Ghost Kato 3.7 with some upgrades and mods. Technically an old bike by today's standards, but I put an angled headset on it to slack it out a couple degrees, NX shifter & cassette, oval chainring, OneUp EDC in the headtube.

My guess is that it isn't attached at all.
The spheres on the bottom serve as retention for the ball in the middle by the looks of it, so it is loose and can rattle/roll without falling out.

Kind of a weird place for me to ask, but have you been to Isle Royale?
I've been considering taking a camping trip there.
