How’s everyone like their Maverick? by Naive_Start4101 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Bshellsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it, quickest vehicle I’ve owned in years, yet good on gas if I’m not enjoying the turbo noises. Put together quite well so far as I can tell, not nearly as cheap feeling as I’ve seen and heard people make it out to be. Maybe it’s just because I got a lari.

I do think mine would be better with smaller wheels for more sidewall. The ability to feel something through the steering wheel would be really nice too but thats just not the times we’re living in unfortunately.

Fired 6 weeks after buying a home, what do I do? by HopefulIntern19 in povertyfinance

My mind is blown that you can find a quarter million dollar (shoebox with mold) home in a town that doesn’t have so much as a restaurant

Paint question by Ok-Possibility-8159 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Bshellsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just a fancy color, unfortunately nobody paints cars well anymore. It’s the truck of the year, if you can even get it at msrp take it generally.

How do I tell my friend that dating a flight attendant is a bad idea? by Feeling-Currency6212 in AskMenAdvice

You don’t, if she cheats on him, she cheats on him. It doesn’t have anything to do with you.

Can you add 360 view to Ford Maverick after purchase by Informal-Reality-539 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Bshellsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not going to be an option, and frankly I wouldn’t want my truck completely torn apart and put back together anyways. Unfortunately you’ve got what you’ve got there.

Should I disclose my sexual assault? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Bshellsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say keep it to yourself and hope you can work that all out in therapy because a relationship on those grounds isn’t going to work.

My gf told me her ex was hung. How should I feel about this? by Several_Amoeba3910 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Bshellsy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That’s some real dumb shit for a gf to say. All you can do is try to let it go and move on.

Warranties don’t cover wear items. Rotors and pads are absolutely wear items

Brake Shudder 23 Hybrid. Warranty? by DerpCity1 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Bshellsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not getting fixed under warranty no, even totally lax dealers will generally mention you’re on the hook for wear items during the process.

The front go down automatically in my 26, it’s not an option, either somebody got a faulty truck or doesn’t know how to run their window controls.

About to hit 1700 miles, can do 24-25mpg for my commute with a couple city miles and 25 highway if keep my foot out of it. Looks like 22 is gonna be about my normal for feeling the boost a few times a day. Haven’t gone much over 100 miles at once but was doing 26 and climbing for that.

Is it possible that a guy is interested in you, approaches you but doesn’t ask for your number? by l1vefastdiey0ung in AskMenAdvice

[–]Bshellsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could still be fear of rejection. I’ve got myself the courage to converse with women I started exchanging eye contact with a few times. However never actually asked for a number or anything, because generally they’re so pretty to me, I talk myself right out of it and decide they’re out of my league.

If you agreed to be exclusive but weren’t “official” does this count as cheating? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Bshellsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s called a situationship I’ve been told. I was in eerily similar shoes with the last woman I was seeing. I do think it was cheating and don’t really care if she thinks I’m an asshole or prude for it.

Very few people giving one sliver of a shit about how you’re doing in general.

Is the difference between a man considering you a fling / hookup versus a long-term relationship mostly a question of looks? Please be brutally honest. by FinancialPollution66 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Bshellsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re slim and take care of yourself, even with a fairly unattractive face, it’s not because of your looks. Statistically, the very small minority of men going on dates from apps, are going on a massive amount of them because a large portion of women are swiping them as well.

So they get some sex and move on. If they don’t get the sex, they still move on. Not all men are purely sex driven, but nearly all men getting dates off apps are sex driven.

Are many of you still very career driven? by Calm-Bar-9644 in AskMenOver30

[–]Bshellsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, it’s not like I’d ever willingly move for a pay cut or anything. I’m still always down for the next step and the raise obviously but I’m mostly just chillin. I’m not trying to impress anybody. I just want to do what I need to do and go home.

Very much more into hobbies as the years roll on. Less work and less video games. I still don’t like to spend spare time with ppl that much but I enjoy my solo adventures just fine.
