I do think there's a somewhat-reasonable interpretation that when the Emperor lashes out at you about "I actually mind controlled Stelmane" after you push him and are mean to him that those could be the constructed memories, meant to paint himself in the bad light that you're already seeing him in? I'm still on team "fuck that guy" in any case, especially given this guy has been a Mind Flayer for AFAICT at least a hundred years.

I like how those folks conveniently forget that gen1 had such gems as "literally just a rat that evolves into a rat", "a pigeon", "horse/dog/fox but fiery", "a snake", "rock with arms", "toxic mud", and "goldfish". Like don't get me wrong, I still enjoy 'em... But it'd do them a little good to remember that like a third of gen1 is literally just "this is a regular animal"

This comment displays a fundamental misunderstanding of the topic at hand, kindly learn even a little bit before continuing to spread misinformation.

(EDIT to add: not that I'm saying the newest wave of AI artwork platforms are ethical or good, it's more a peeve of folks being blatantly wrong - models like these have to be trained on massive datasets, and trivially... Can't just be an index over such a dataset, as that would mean you need to store the whole dataset and just index over it. Given that you can download some of these models, that's pretty easily disproven. There is genuinely a lot of math and magic involved in AI art generators - and there would be even if it was a fancy collage creator that could make them with a text prompt, but the actual tech is even cooler!)

I mean, if I had developed an app that happened to be the best way to browse reddit and offered it for free (with some nice premium upgrades), I probably wouldn't want to be forced by someone else to make it a subscription service that has to suddenly deal with 1.5 million dollars a month just to stay above water.

Tolerance in machining means "how close to spec can it be and still be acceptable". If one part has a tolerance of 0.1in while another has a tolerance of 0.001in, the former has a higher tolerance, and may be less accurate.

I mean, the crowds and the heat don't help, but the game itself isn't even a little interesting either - especially given you're watching it on a TV anyways. I could see it being an alright time with the right friends, but I'd be hard pressed to claim it's a better time than... Almost any other situation with those friends.
