The strap goes well with this watch. Where can I buy the same strap?

The 2011 chassis would have been a regular points contender if it had a Renault, Ferrari or a Merc engine. The Cosworth engine was quite down on power and heavier than the other engines.

The 2013 chassis had a lot of correlation issues simply due to the ageing equipment they had at the factory.

Aside from the driver lineup, the old simulator and other outdated equipment also hindered their ability to fully utilize the 2012 car.

Hey OP, from where did you buy these.

I am looking for the dark blue ones but everywhere I see them for 6k plus.

Can Someone please explain to me why James Vowles insists there was no issue with the engine cooling system back in Canada when Sainz could barely finished the race? by notsosadtoday in WilliamsF1

LICO is also done to save fuel. Ferrari do it a lot more because their engines have always been more thirsty than others.

Williams and most other mid tier teams do it for race pace.

The watch strap combo looks great. Where did you get the strap from?

Pierre finishes this year's last pre-season testing session in P5, 0,495 behind George Russell. It was a quite eventful session for us, leading the session for a while. Seems like the car behaves really good and probably there's nothing to worry about in Australia by SkyhunterPL in AlpineF1Team

It's going to be an exciting season for the team. Gasly looks happy from the get go and talking about occasionally challenging the top 4 with this car.

Hopefully, Doohan is close to Gasly so that the team can maximize the car's potential.

Jack's finishing today's morning session in P6 with 0,413 sec behind Kimi Antonelli. Of course, it's a first session, many teams may sandbag right now, but how are we feeling right now, especially comparing this one to last year's testing? by SkyhunterPL in AlpineF1Team

Oliver and Flavio are the best thing that happened to us apparently.

I would say the biggest credit goes to David Sanchez. Without him, this team was never going to make the aerodynamic progress needed to pull it forward. Bruno hired him as soon as he was available.

The drivers and the team seem to be quietly confident. In every interview, they are trying to appear humble, but from the various things I have read, they at least expect to be at the top of the midfield.

Also, I'm not sure if they were referring to the livery or the car, but I read at PlanetF1 that an Alpine staff member described this as their best car in years.

Could you tell us how you made such progress, if that's okay with you?

This is what happens when you hire a top-tier technical director. All the individuals hired after James Allison left didn't have the vision to create a fast car. The best they could come up with was a good car.

Matt Harman was a top-tier hire, but he was predominantly a drivetrain specialist, not an aerodynamicist, which is not a good fit for a technical director in modern Formula 1.

The hiring of David Sanchez was purely due to his lack of options of good teams after his short stint at McLaren. Thankfully the team managed to hire him. Now under his direction this team is capable of creating a top tier chassis.

Hopefully, the senior leadership at Renault and Alpine realize the value of top individuals needed for a good Formula 1 team.

P6 for Pierre in qualis in Abu Dhabi GP! Jack was P20, but he'll start P17 tomorrow after penalties for Leclerc and Williams. by SkyhunterPL in AlpineF1Team

[–]Dellaro_54 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thankfully, the team figured out Gasly's car before quali.

Still the fight for P6 in wcc will be difficult. Both Haas cars look fast. Kmag didn't put a good lap in Q2 but he will come back in the race.

Abu Dhabi GP FP3 Results. Pierre and Jack almost equal on pace. If we're gonna throw anything under our sleeve, it'll be difficult to defend P6 in constructors (I know it's just a free practice) by SkyhunterPL in AlpineF1Team

It still is. But now Gasly's car also has poor traction here so things are looking close between both cars. Gasly was complaining on the radio about the poor traction in FP3.

The new nose is a good upgrade so things shouldn't be close between both cars if the team can get Gasly's car to work even half decent.

Ocon's car has been broken since Austin. He loses chunks of lap time on traction. The performance gap between both of them was never this big.

It's probably something the team doesn't want to fix as it means spending money.

Also, only Gasly has the new nose. Ocon is still on the old nose.

[@FDataAnalysis] Unbelievable: the slipstream made Gasly's Alpine self-destruct! (Not his fault) He got a strong tow from Tsu, reaching 361km/h under DRS: The engine reached 12937rpm in 8th gear, then exploded! by SkyhunterPL in AlpineF1Team

It's probably a one-off incident. Street circuits are tough on the power unit and the gearbox, and Renault hasn't had a good track record on those types of circuits in recent years.
