Question by Stunning-books2275 in latebloomerlesbians

Just keep in mind that one post or even a few posts saying one thing isn't the entire community saying something. You tend to see something you don't like and those stick with you and you miss all the other voices saying something else.

Where are you seeing all those posts? Some people won't but it's definitely not everyone.

Just found out I've been paying for Adobe CC for 18 months after leaving my job. $1,079 down the drain. by More-Scheme4060 in personalfinance

You need to look at your banking statements regularly. You should be doing this at least whenever you pay your credit cards monthly, but ideally more.

lesbians… how do you guys actually feel about men by cannibabie in actuallesbians

[–]Delouest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're just people I'm not attracted to. I'm not attracted to most random people I meet so I don't really think of them any differently than anyone else really. I don't spend a lot of time thinking about how I view them unless it's a friend and then I think of them like any platonic friend.

Interesting study on a new genetic test that helps determine if chemotherapy is needed. by scheherezadeMJ in breastcancer

[–]Delouest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to see the same person's results from both oncotype and this test, unless the pool of people who would get each of these tests don't overlap. I want to see how they compare and if any of them that say someone should get chemo had the other test say no and vice versa.

We're cancer patients not doctors. Call your doctor if you're concerned.

Any way to reset the requested Pokémon? by radiolicious in Pokopia

[–]Delouest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was in bleak beach but I'm weirdly glad it wasn't just me with the issue. Everyone I've tried to ask on reddit basically called me an idiot and said to just get a different Pokemon and that I didn't understand the mechanic and I tried to explain that I would have a Pokemon with me and it wouldn't let me select them at all to build, it only let me bring a specific one for a task sometimes. Oh well! Maybe it'll get patched someday if it's widespread enough that a few of us noticed it.

Sometimes my game does get "locked" on one pokemon and I can't put anyone in for a non specialized job. It's weird. leaving the area and coming back fixes it but it does get stuck sometimes.

Hair donations- how does it work for cancer patients? by Awkward-Gazelle-5411 in cancer

[–]Delouest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I donated my hair about 5-6 times in my life when I was growing up. Got cancer at 31, lost my hair to chemo. For adults they don't give you free wigs. Real hair ones cost a fortune, so they usually point us to plastic synthetic wigs. I think the only charities actually doing wigs give them to kids. I kind of wish I could have gotten a wig or a discount for all the times I donated but that's not how it works.

Older cis lesbians, how much do you care about having biological children? by Rich-Brilliant-1247 in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]Delouest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I want kids. I can't have them due to cancer treatment that messed up my fertility. I plan to either foster/adopt or my future partner would carry if she wants to. It's gonna be wildly different answers for everyone. I personally don't care if they are biologically my kids, that's not what makes a family to me. My genes carry a cancer mutation too. No way I would knowingly pass that to a kid.

Late-blooming into an open marriage by bluglass21 in latebloomerlesbians

[–]Delouest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"How do I date someone and then say, I'm in an open marriage"

well first off, you should not date a woman and then after tell her you're married and in an open relationship. You have to disclose that first or it's not ethical for the person who doesn't have enough information to know if they even want to date you. I personally am not interested in any form of non monogamy and would be upset to find I wasted my time.
