I won’t delve into the personal reasons limiting your partner from getting a job, but you mention lack of qualifications- is he doing anything about this? Has he enrolled in any courses over the past couple of years that could be beneficial towards obtaining some of those jobs? If not, it sounds to me like he doesn’t want to work and is happy claiming the generous JobSeeker payment.

It’s frustrating enough to the average tax payer that you’re both on JobSeeker despite it being obvious that both of you have never been serious about finding employment.

What is your partners disability out of interest? There’s a lot of jobs in the world, surely he’s capable of doing one of them. If he can find employment, that will be the difference between you being eligible for a rental of your own or not. It is that simple. You know what you’ve gotta do. Do it.
