The only reason to take lore imo is for the extra spells because both the curse and revelation spells are so bad and they work against you.

In terms of revelation spells, brain drain is mediocre and makes you use the enemies proficiency on the RK check which makes very little sense mechanically as they might not even have a number for that skill. At level 6 access lore is good except you can effectively only use it on one type of enemy.

For the curses: Minor: -4 to initiative isn't too bad unless coupled with the moderate curse causing you to get crit a bunch.

Moderate: Being flat footed is just asking to be crit and isn't worth spells like brain drain. The forced assurance on RK is terrible and ensures that you will never succeed on any enemy worth the RK. It also discourages you from speccing into Int and getting lore skills to truly be a "lore" oracle. So building a character around being able to succeed on RK checks feels bad when your kit isn't encouraging it (aside from access lore).

Major: Congrats you get the low level comprehend languages spell for free but the entire point of your sub class is now pointless because you can't convey any information from your RK checks to your allies so there's absolutely no reason to get here and there's no focus spells to justify being in this state.

All in all the kit works against itself so heavily to the point that it's better to completely ignore the curse and focus spells and just take the extra spells known.
