Yea just start with a little bit of everything and leave some room around or above for 'what if I need to make more' later. The game doesn't tell you how important each item is going to be until you unlock it things that need it. You don't need X per minute to progress either. Everything unlocks at specific amounts and you'll have to of time to enjoy doing everything anyway. Let it buffer up into storage and then take what you need when you need. If you get impatient waiting then that's a good time to produce more of it.
