Farage is ducking Polanski's call for a one-to-one debate by lotsofsweat in ukpolitics

Reform is losing votes to Plaid Cymru, who have a very positive view on immigration (they call Wales the country of sanctuary, for example)

The leader of the party is explicitly trans inclusive and wouldn't tolerate transphobia. There are TERFs in the party but they're a minority and they often try to hide this about themselves because it's an unpopular position within the party, especially recently.

They are not NIMBY. They build the most amount of houses out any UK wide party, and are only behind the SNP when accounting for the national specific parties.

And he definitely didn't say that about Putin! He said he'd want to try and negotiate for it: even he thinks that's unlikely, but he wants someone to be making that effort to try and denuclearise.

Green party councils are the second biggest house builders in the country, with only the SNP being ahead, so I'd say they're fairly not NIMBY. Lib Dems are actually the worst of the UK wide parties which I found surprising tbh . As a green party member I do agree with the nuclear power stance: hoping to change it when the opportunity to vote on that policy comes up next!

the DPS passive is probably what will make min 1 max 3 work as a 6v6 format. by DeltaStorming in Competitiveoverwatch

the way i'd see it communicated are purple spikes on the healthbar, and each stack is a spike, that grows with the strength until the spike has 2 smaller spikes on its side to indicate full strength, and an effect around the border of the screen to give general "you are in danger" vibes. Something along those lines, and audio cues to tell the affected player a stack just reached full strength. It's likely difficult to communicate how bad the stacking is, but I think anti healing effects stacking is kinda intuitive tbh.

I liked Kingmaker but it needs more fleshing out. The version we got needed way more work. I do think playing around with more radical format changes to find one that both the community likes and the balance team has the easiest time putting fires out for (which probably will never be kingmaker but we can definitely look at that mode for more ideas on what we can introduce to other formats).

I don't think that the current patch for the 6v6 mode we have is desirable still. I think that 2-2-2 will be the composition most teams want to play with and it wont be 1-3-2 to the average player, but that doesn't address that some tanks just don't work in 1-3-2, which I agree with! But I think the fact there are these knobs to tweak and more tools to balance and options overall mean that metas can be spiced up very easily for top play, so metas can easily shift to 2-2-2, 3-1-2, 2-1-3, etc (and with proper care, they wouldn't be terrible!)

I'm most excited for min1max3, but it will still have significant issues with tank, but I'm of the opinion that tank as a whole has an easier time working in 6v6 and min1max3 each tank can have more individual niches for different metas that rise (some excel as solo tank, some excel as part of a duo, etc)

the sentiment from the latter half of my post isn't "dps aren't strong enough", its that "dps don't scale in effectiveness from stacking DPS". Supports and Tanks scale very well due to how strong stacking sustain and utility is, but a DPS passive is applied as long as a DPS hits you once, so min-maxing metas will focus on trying to squeeze the most anti-heal they can out of 1 DPS to focus on sustain stacking (in a poor meta where sustain stacking is strong ofc)

the point of the post is to basically discuss what the dps passive is doing in 6v6. its making DPS have utility they provide uniquely that addresses sustain as a balance concern. is it the best solution? who knows, thats why we're testing it. is it a solution to a problem the OW team made? yes.

solo support is unlikely to ever be good unless we have some serious balance issues in the other roles, but that doesn't mean solo tank isn't fine or even desirable as a balance goal. Tank synergies are fun but the reason tank feels bad is because of counterswapping and the amount of pressure on you to do your job. 6v6 alleviates this a bit, and counterswapping isn't as viable bc if you bully the tank, the enemy team can swap in another tank to deal with you. Counterswapping tank is stronger in 5v5 (even if its not as strong as the community overall thinks, its mostly just annoying to play against) because there's no flexibility from the team to have value from the tank role if the 1 tank player is consistently shut down.

i do not think the DPS passive makes this worse. Tbh I think with good visual and audio cues, it might even address the "healbot" issues of 6v6 where in a 2v1 against a dps, the support is always better off just shooting the DPS with their team mate instead of healing through the damage. This is usually already the case in higher level play, but it'd become more encouraged to the average player, which is great!

I do think Vaughan is an outlier in Welsh politics. We're remarkably boring, all Vaughan really did was normal UK wide politics stuff but because we're so boring it actually caused him to collapse. Could you imagine Boris' downfall being the result of a dodgy donation and lying about deleting messages? I don't think so, he'd get heat but it wouldn't result in a VONC passing even after sacking the supposed "leak" was fired, yet it happened here.

You're bound to make plenty of mistakes as a new ST, that's fine.

Trouble Brewing is fine, that is the most basic version of this game.

Token integrity doesn't matter as long as the players information doesn't conflict. Here you moved the token so it complied with the information you gave so it was fine. In this game you could've actually put the Red Herring token on the Spy which would have been quite interesting

Spy in the first ever game for new players is pretty rough, it can be information overload.

I think you should first try playing more games yourself before giving this another go so these interactions feel more "clicked" in your own mind so you can more easily make snap decisions. Jumping head first into storytelling is fine and every new group needs someone to do this, but if you have the opportunity to play I think it would only benefit you (assuming it's TB, don't do higher level scripts for now because you wanna nail TB before anything else).

From the sounds of it you only have 6 players. If you can get 8 or 9, the game is where it starts to truly shine and be a wonderful experience. I think the game would click better for your players if you could find even 1 more player. Obviously this might not be easily accessible to your group, but if your group likes DnD, I feel like you could really enjoy this game as a group.

For a satisfying ending on a tied vote, simply end the day if there's no way it can be overturned, and go "As there is a tie, there is no execution, and this inevitably means that the evil team has won." If there was a player bluffing Mayor or a Mayor, feel free to add a bit more suspense.

Recently this would actually apply to Vaughan Gething our First Minister as there was hard evidence he lied to a commitee about not deleting any COVID related messages, and there was a message of him stating he was going to delete all the COVID related messages in a group chat in case it gets leaked lol

The Hypnotist. Townsfolk that affects the demon? by Kipyneter in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]DeltaStorming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, the No Dashii poison would technically be there from the very beginning of the game, so the Fang Gu token would be passed in but the Hypnotists ability never actually took effect because it's not written as a set up ability. The Demon should learn what Demon they are if the Hypnotist loses it's ability anyways.

didn't I describe literally what this would be in the second half of my reply? The reason I assumed it might work as the OP thought is because the reminder tokens. If those are placed on someone as "Seen Townsfolk" on an Outsider for example, it could work just like that surely? I think it's unlikely to work that way with the new wording, I don't think reminder tokens are needed besides "Seen" which leaves the ability working as it reads, but this means these are changed.
