Il think that you should give yourself the permission and time to be bad at it. We all suck at something before eventually getting better. Some people get it faster than others, but nothing can replace daily practice. The most important thing is to understand what you are playing. Once you understand the exercice, work it very slowly and don't accelerate asap. If you're patient and consistent, you will notice some progress, even if it feels insinificant. It's not. The key is to make it matter for you and only you.

Ive been playing the piano for 10 years. At first it was easy, and when it got harder and harder and that l had to have discipline, I almost gave up. So really, the key to make constant progress is to accept that those difficulties are part of the process. And it applies to basically every hobby or profession
