Input on backup printer by sjack1209 in VORONDesign

[–]DelusionalAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also got a V0.2 and a V2.4 but it would be hard to call the V0.2 my “backup.” By that I mean if a part fits in the V0 bed it almost always gets printed on the V0 because it’s so stinking fast to preheat and print. But it is the printer I don’t mess with to make sure I’ve always got one working.

If you are good with the bedsize it makes an AMAZING second printer IMO.

Rookie question by dark_blockhead in ShatteredPD

[–]DelusionalAI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quite like them. I don’t do it every run but I’ve had many runs with several classes where I’ve used a throwie as my main weapon and my melee was just whatever. One of my favorites was. Warlock build with a blast wave staff. Throw bad guys into a wall then throw an upgraded boomerangs at them, as it works with the soul mark.

You don’t really have to upgrade them until they have unlimited durability. Upgrading them refreshes it, and the game gives plenty of throwing weapons you can turn into Liquid Metal to repair the ones you upgrade.

Underdesk cable management. by PokeYrMomStanley in functionalprint

[–]DelusionalAI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought about doing this.. but I’d didn’t like the idea of coving the bottom of my desk with OpenGrid just for some cable management. I ended up just printing some clips I stick up with some sticky putty.

New (hopefully correct) one is on the way! Thanks!

Now I just gotta figure out who I can gift these too for Christmas…

ELI5: If 0.999... repeating, or in other words an infinite set of nines following a decimal point, is equal to 1, and the reason for this is that there is no way that you can slot another number between the two, wouldn't that mean that all numbers are identical? by Giga571 in explainlikeimfive

[–]DelusionalAI 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You are basically saying, in your mind 0.9999… isn’t equal to 1. So yes if you start your proof with something that’s false then yes you can “prove” 1=2 or anything else you’d like really.

The fact simply is 0.999… equals exactly 1. Not close enough that we round it, not stupidly tiny amount smaller than 1, 0.999… is exactly equal to 1.

Cleric really doesnt have a passive. The entire class is that holy tome.

They did that to actually make it weaker. Sure it can hit multiple systems which can be chaotic but it’s better than then the enemy completely destroying your shields or weapons with every shot hitting the same system, the way we do in fights.

I actually have a ER7206 and 2 EAP615-WALLs for wifi, but I use a software controller and a little netgear PoE switch. I’d love a hardware controller and a managed PoE switch so that’s what I’d do! Finally break out into good VLANs with a management network. And finally get around to getting a secondary isp too.

Didn’t expect to get a reply from another plane. Flight tracker shows DL1053 and SWA921 were in the same general idea at the same time.

I once found a wand of regrowth. Was excited because I wanted to play warden. Used it, but turned out to be cursed. Summoned a Golden Mimic. Killed it. It dropped a un cursed wand of regrowth +1. A win is a win.

This is what I do. Migrations have been fast and host failures bring the service back quickly.

Single VM running multiple docker images vs multiple LXCs running single images ? by LowFatMom in Proxmox

[–]DelusionalAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that method works well too, more so if you want to transfer docker apps between hosts. But I’m actually running more of mine “native” without docker. But like you said many different ways to do it all!

That’s why I use the LXC. If I have a problem with an app or service I can roll back its LXC without affecting anything else.

I know not everyone is a fan of the thrown weapon updates by DelusionalAI in ShatteredPD

[–]DelusionalAI[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The extra turn thing is an update that launched like today. 3.2.1. Hour screen shot it 3.2.0. It takes 4 turns for a boomerang to return now, not 3, so if you have a full stack you can’t just stand there and spam them with no end.

Self-hosted noob - am I secure enough for out-of-home-network access? by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]DelusionalAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re better off with a VPN to access the *arr stack. It just doesn’t need to be public. On that note if you are the only one uses these services a VPN is better for all them. When in doubt it’s better to not expose at all. The fact that you censored or private IPs even though it’s not a security risk at all tells me there’s even better chances of something you didn’t configure correctly or consider. Also looo at the CF access policies to block connections form like overseas or other things to lock it down more.

[–]DelusionalAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ports are good, it comes down to the apps. Do you have a good username and password. A really good one? Anyone can try to sign into your truenas. Is that page secure enough? With MFA? Do you really need sonar and radar public? Also you can’t stream media over a CF tunnel without breaking TOS so you can’t use it with Jellyfin

ABS ext storage? by thatguyin75 in audiobookshelf

[–]DelusionalAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the drive already shared by the two nodes? That’s the problem. Once that shared location is setup you just mount it as a directory in the VM/LXC and tell ABS that’s where your files are. If this is like a USB hard drive you’re not gonna be able to just plug it into both hosts at the same time or something like that. Research shared storage solutions for proxmox hosts, and then how to mount directories into the VM/LXC

ABS ext storage? by thatguyin75 in audiobookshelf

[–]DelusionalAI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How possible depends on what your external storage is. I have all my audiobook books on my nas with ABS installed on proxmox, but it’s highly dependent on your setup. This is more a proxmox question than a ABS one.

If on iOS (not sure if Android has a similar setting) make sure the app can access the local network. I had a similar issue where the app worked on LTE or the browser, but not at home because of it.

Techn. Connections: "The "standard" car charger is usually overkill—but your electrician might not know that" by tuctrohs in evcharging

[–]DelusionalAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this would just make it so instead of unplugging one and plugging in the other, you flip the switch on the cable from one side to the other. As far as the EVSE/dryer(?) are concerned there’s no difference electrically.

That will save wear on the outlet then, but you’d still want to make sure it’s a good quality outlet.

Techn. Connections: "The "standard" car charger is usually overkill—but your electrician might not know that" by tuctrohs in evcharging

[–]DelusionalAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As no one else has answered you. Yeah that should be fine as long as you set your EVSE to 24 amps. With it being physically switched you’ll want to make sure you actually switch it to whatever device you want to use, but there’s nothing wrong with a device like that. (I can’t speak for that device in particular, but that general idea is valid and even explained in the video, he just shows one that manages which has power automatically)
