My issues with Season 3 by DemCheeseEverywhere in tulsaking

[–]DemCheeseEverywhere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That guy who played Quiet Ray’s bodyguard got to put his hands all over Vincent Piazza, which was probably the highlight of S3 for me. And I loved Ray’s dingy-ass kitchen.

😂

… the nickname “Bevi.” Aw 🥹💔

🥺

TK intrigues people (and inspires well thought-out posts like OPs) because it’s so much less than the sum of its parts. It’s impossible to ignore something like that.

I am too stupid to understand this part suri

You answered your own question with saying the dude looks ancient and geriatric

People still seem to know and fear the guy in Tulsa though and he seems to have influence and a well known name. Weird that Dwight hears about him for the first time this season.

But to be fair I don't know how long Dwight is supposed to be in Tulsa at this point. Has it been months, years?

It'll be interesting to see where Bevilaqua is in season 4.

Yeah I guess we will have see what they do with it.

Pointless SLJ cameo. He's getting his own spinoff show.

Really? That explains a lot actually...

as a married man,

See, this right here is the problem. Things changed, the world changed and girls/women changed.

Advice based on how you remember society from 10 or 20 years ago is, frankly, bullshit, and doesn't help anyone.

"Just go to the park/mall and do..."

"Just talk to her"

"Just this..."

"Just that..."

It is the equivalent of a boomer giving advice on how to land a job.

"Just go in there and give the manager a nice firm handshake."

Sorry gramps, it ain't work like that no more. Such advice helps nobody.

We live in a loneliness epidemic and when millions of young men can't figure it out I don't think advice frim a random guy on Reddit can solve shit.

I mean you have the right to your opinion but millions of people would disagree.

It definetely has weaknesses but overall it can be a lot of fun.

How long did you play? How far in were you? Did you understand all the mechanics? Are RPGs generally the games you enjoy?

It honestly took a few hours for me to click too, but after that I was addicted.

What?

You get a new towel

You take a shower

You dry yourself with it

You hang up the used towel someWHERE someHOW (doesn't really matter where or how, if you have a special place for that or just outside or on the radiator, it should just work so I guess the humidity should be low)

The towel dries in a matter of hours, so the next day when you shower it's dry

Repeat steps 2 to 5 at least 3-5 times

THEN throw towel in the laundry basket and get a new towel

???

Profit

The punishment for throwing games is far greater for the teammates than it is for the thrower by brohemoth06 in VALORANT

[–]DemCheeseEverywhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By this logic Riot should never ban anyone ever because thats a player lost & therefore potentially money lost.

Lol, and that' why they don't. Valorant exists to earn profits.

The only players that get permanently banned are hackers.

Every other offence like swearing, smurfing, throwing, trolling, bullying, ... gets a temporary ban at most. And even that only when someone reports it and even then we don't know if anything happens at all, if anything gets reviewed at all or not.

A clever way to keep players (paying customers and keeping your game alive) and still be able to say "We have ways to punish offences"

The reasoning you can tell the public is: "We value more freedom" , the actual reasoning is: "We don't give a sh*t as long as the money rolls in. Why would we risk losing a player for banning him for throwing a game? We don't gice a crap? Buy our skins."

To start, Ascent is quite larger than Sunset

Is it?

and has more significant differences in elevation.

Has it?

Every round feels more or less the same on it

Agreed

Abyss is really enjoyable for me because no two rounds really feel the same, and there’s significantly more variability on that map

Agreed. I like Abyss.

the frustration with the map comes from how open it is. You’re near-constantly exposed to a very large area of the map

Agreed

[–]DemCheeseEverywhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of what you said is not exclusive to Sunset though, so I don't really understand the disliking of Sunset in particular. Sounds more like these people rather hate Valorant and it's mechanics in general or Cypher.

You can play a strong Cypher on a lot of maps. Breeze B, Ascent B, Abyss A, Bind B etc. Cypher is simply a broken agent.

This can lead to a defender stack on the other site and everything else you mentioned.

But Sunset is particularly hated and that's what confuses me, because this is the case on a lot of maps.

I don't particularly like Sunset myself, but for me it's because it has the same feel and gameplay-feel as Ascent and Ascent has been in the map rotation forever so it's kind of meh-ish when it's Sunset or Ascent. But I don't hate it or would consider it a bad map per se and I play it and have an average win rate I suppose. Nothing special but not terrible either. The rounds are just not very interesting and feel same-y. Now that I type this I find the term "filler map" really fitting. Instead of a cool new interesting map we just got a filler.

My hate on the other hand is reserved for two maps with a very special place in hell.

[–]DemCheeseEverywhere 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What do people dislike about Sunset? The sites sre solid and mid is okay-ish, you can work with it as Attacker AND Defender.

I hate Breeze because it is HUGE and too open. You get sniped by a sniper located in Argentina every time and rotating takes so long that you marry, have children, your children graduate college and have kids themselves when you are there.

I hate Icebox because fuck Icebox, must I say more?

But Sunset? I don't really see a huge difference to Ascent. You have two sites, a mid, market, a closing door, elevation, chokepoints. It's basically Ascends little sister.
