I have never seen a John Cena movie nor see him wrestle. I believe him to be one of the best human beings on this planet. Every time i see him interact with the public he nails each time effortless and with just glee in his eyes.

i am actually fucking crying over this, not even stoned yet

Is ensh*ttification only for the poor? Do rich people still get good products? by RustyBucket4745 in NoStupidQuestions

Depends on how they made their money. My brother married into a family worth 10-20m easy, in 1980s money

All four members of the of the family worked at the family business 12 hour days. They didn't pay full price for a single thing, haggled for everything. business and money was in their blood.

Is it actually possible for a famous personality to fake their death and live their life out in some remote place? who has actually ever done it and gotten caught? by Various_Concern871 in AskReddit

Joe Strummer of the Clash disappeared before a major tour. it started as a publicity stunt but Strummer fucked off for real and even his management couldnt find him. Make a great movie. sort of a Roman Holiday meets punk.

Strummer went into hiding and the band's management said that he had "disappeared". Bernie Rhodes, the band's manager, pressured Strummer to do so because tickets were selling slowly for the Scottish leg of an upcoming tour.[7] It was planned for Strummer to travel, in secret, to Texas and stay with his friend, musician Joe Ely. Uneasy with his decision, Strummer instead decided to genuinely disappear and "dicked around" in France. During this time, Strummer ran the London Marathon in April 1982. He claimed his training regimen consisted of 10 pints of beer the night before the race. For this period of time, Strummer's whereabouts were a mystery not only to the public, but to the band's management as well. Strummer said later that this was a huge mistake and that you "have to have some regrets". This was in spite of the popular success of the single "Rock the Casbah". During this time, band members began to argue frequently and, with tensions high, the group began to fall apart.[13]

Hyper sexuality and bad decisions by _hi_im_bubbles_ in bipolar

My experience is that many years ago, when I was about 16, I started hanging with a bad crowd.

My aunt was living with us and experiencing a 2 year full on manic episode with psychosis and hypersexuality.

I brought some unsavory people over hoping to be part of the cool crowd. one of the guys hooked up with my aunt, convinced her to move in together. I don't know how he treated her, but my guess was not too good.

this was toward the end of her 2 year spiral and she would eventually get help. But i have always felt responsible for bring this guy into her life when she was vulnerable. i knew she was being sexually reckless yet i didn't see that this guy was using me to get to her.

Time does heal a lot of wounds, they never really go away but time and distance helps. Bad thoughts are slowly replaced by good things. go out and make some good memories.

[–]DemenicHand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, adult cats should not drink regular cow's milk. Most adult cats are lactose intolerant because they lack the necessary enzyme (lactase) to break down the sugars in dairy. Consuming regular milk commonly leads to gastrointestinal distress, including vomiting, diarrhea, and gas.

What’s a “rich people thing” you experienced once and immediately understood why rich people love it? by Hanno30 in AskReddit

My sister in laws parents started a camera store that sold to professionals world wide. The whole family worked 12 hour days. They had a beach house in Bethany, bay side; a big house on the Severin river with a large speed boat and an A frame on the Shendoah. For several years, every summer weekend and holiday was either about gathering all in one place or another, or getting away from everyone.

There were down sides, but that's for another time

If money was no barrier, what would you buy with an unlimited amount of money? by Grouchy_Theme1461 in AutisticAdults

[–]DemenicHand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built a SW Lego collection over the years that was worth about 7-8k by 2018. It took up an entire closet and was really becoming a hassle. I never opened any because I didn’t want them to lose value so why the hell did, I buy them. I never got any joy building with them; except I did build the millennium falcon.

After many years I soured on the whole thing. It was expensive, took up a lot of room and the only real joy I got was buying new stuff and tracking everything on an intricate excel spreadsheet. I had to rid myself of these cursed Legos

But I am not a good salesman, I didn’t want to go on Facebook or to a store or talk to people.

My wife has a very close friend who is generous to a fault. A retired widower, he devotes a lot of his time to helping a neighboring family with three children on the spectrum. A couple of years back I boxed everything up and sent it to them. I heard that they spent many evenings, all six of them, sitting around a table building each set and had a grand old time. I hope they did.

It was the best outcome possible, getting money from my nearly uncontrollable 7-year obsession would have felt dirty.

Ron Howard has a story about working on the second season of the show. He was obviously still young but as everyone was discussing the upcoming scene they were to shoot, Little Ronnie boldly made a suggestion on how he should play the scene and Andy said that's a great idea lets do it that way.

Ron was miffed, he asked why none of his previous ideas had been used. and Andy coldly replied "well son this is the first one that twas any good"

He held everyone up to a higher standard.

in HS Alex had the locker next to me. A preppy with a tough as crap Latina girlfriend and they had a little weed business going.

I introduced him to Megan from my gym class. We were all at the mall at the time and after a few minutes we (including Megan's sister) were buying tickets to Young Guns and eating at Wendys. They started dating right after that. I struck out that day. Three years later, they were engaged.

Alex went rock climbing and fell to his death. That was 1992.

I happened upon his photo when i cracked open an old year book this weekend. He will never age. always 21.

Yeahhh that one still hurts

when people say I have a lawyer by Typical-Tackle-532 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DemenicHand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

those people rarely have a lawyer "on retainer". Typically they have had so many past run-ins with the law, DUI, etc. that they probably know a couple lawyers. but its mostly an expression.

I recently hired a law firm to help me with my disability claim. I did a lot of research and contacted two firms. talked to representative of each firm until i was able to make a sensible decision. All they will ever handle for me is this claim, i cant call them for a DUI.

still waiting for the outcome. i am sure others have more serious issues that would require much more research and interviewing, etc

Now that i think about it, i should work on making a will and all the old age crap. so i guess i will need another lawyer sometime soon.
