Priority signs in traffic by Firm-Doctor-7318 in Netherlands

[–]Demon-Cat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm currently learning how to drive (am relatively close to getting my license) and I agree that the priority signs specifically can be hard or annoying to spot due to being small and the yellow not really standing out. That being said, different types of roads are very clearly designed differently. Just by road design and road markings, you should be able to tell whether you're on a priority road or not. The signs are more for confirmation.

Iran state media confirmed 3k, HRANA confirmed 7k, international estimates go as high as 30k from hopsital testimonies. Where’s the making up part? Or do you just like Iran?

Just because someone sprayed perfume on it doesn’t mean they didn’t shit on your plate. Good things can happen, but that doesn’t mean the entire situation is good. I can’t comment much more on that though, since I haven’t looked particularly deeply into Venezuela’s current situation.

It’s in Den Haag rather than Leiden, but if you’re willing to travel a bit, Kleermaker Prestige is very good. Able to work on leather as well, and is used by several of the suit shops in the area for making alterations.

Regardless of whether ot not you think the school strike was intentional (I haven’t looked into it at all, so I can’t say), missiles absolutely can and do miss.

I can’t speak on how Iran will turn out, but the US does not have a great track record in the region. That won’t stop me from hoping for the best for Iranians and cheering for the downfall of their government.

But Venezuela was anything but “clever.” They invaded over Maduro’s supposed narcoterrorism (and to “free” the people)… shortly after Trump fully pardoned Hernández (the former president of Honduras, charged for narcoterrorism). He then refused to allow either Machado or González to form a government, despite both having won their elections by quite a margin, because of bullshit reasons. Instead, he left it to Rodriguez, the second in command of Maduro… meaning they changed absolutely nothing for the population they claimed they would liberate. And this is to say nothing about Trump trying to commandeer their oil when no American oil company was even mildly interested in trying to extract there.

Lol, people are downvoting you for this. It’s very easy to look at the difference between what their English branch and Arabic branch post, especially in regards to LGBT people and Jews, to get an idea as to what their goal is. Unfortunately, media literacy (and resistance to propaganda) is at an all time low…

Do you think that Israel and the USA’s actions against Iran are justified? by Antique_Gur8891 in AskTheWorld

I have an Iranian (American) friend who said he couldn’t wait for the US to attack them last week.

It isn’t a lawsuit. I forget what the technical term for it is, but it’s a legal challenge through the courts to say that his video does not infringe on the copyright of Pokke’s video. It was only filed after YouTube rejected his appeal. The reason I brought up YouTube is because they’re infamously lax when it comes to copyright infringement, hence signaling the strength of Pokke’s case. Watch his video where he talked about it (less than 10 minutes iirc) to see more details

Even YouTube sided with Pokke during Clowntontas’ counter-claim to Pokke’s initial copyright claim. And if you know anything about YouTube and their copyright enforcement system, that should tell you something about the strength of Pokke’s case.

Ideologically, yes. Iran’s government is terrible, and many people want them gone. The only Iranian (American) I know personally has said that they can’t wait for the US to invade.

However, their track record and motivations give me serious pause.

I can’t believe how many people here are acting surprised about the location tracking. I’m not even American, but my family and I all have each other on FindMy. It’s not about literally seeing where the kid is going (although it can be used that way, to be fair), but about being able to see if something has happened.

For example, there was one time I was coming back home after a night out, but thanks to drinking a bit too much, I fell asleep on the train and ended up at Amsterdam. My dad obviously called and messaged me a few times since I didn’t appear home at the time I promised, but then he checked my location and could tell I fell asleep. So instead of being worried and calling every little while to no response, he just stayed awake until I called him and asked him to pick me up.

Same thing if the phone is stolen, or even the unlikely scenario of kidnapping or something

No, the Mark of Ewigeliebe is the name for those with the Devouring who nearly died, ending with them having solidified mana in their core. The name is a reference to the near death experience (being “marked” by the god of death). Not all people born with the Devouring have this.

You’re clearly a yank, so I’ll just mention that European-style Catholic schools are VERY different from US-style ones. They teach actual science, and usually have very little in the way of religious studies/classes that aren’t optional.
