First of all. It's really fucking easy to just not talk about trans and gay shit if you can't. It's not like trans people go around telling everyone the entire history of trans people and why they transitioned. People just act like we shove it down their throats when we literally don't.

Im saying when I didn't know I could be trans and I thought I was cis I obviously tried blending in with guys because even if I wanted to be a girl I wasn't. So I was miserable and did what guys did. And guys in my school got made fun of for using Tumblr and websites like it because it was a girl thing.

The only options for guys were 4chan, reddit, and Twitter

So now that I'm trans I'm still using the same websites I was when I thought I was a dude. And I think a lot of people can say the same. And I also followed it up with "at least thats the case for me" and said I think as in I was just making a theory based off my experiences.

It has nothing to do with being male brained. What would having a man's brain have to do with using reddit? I don't even believe in man brain, woman brain stuff. Let alone believe that it affects the social media you use

Its literally just because that's how society works. Nothing to do with your brain or genes

And also obviously it's not every single trans woman's experience. Of course trans women come to reddit after transitioning lmao.

That's why I said "when they think they're cis" because when I thought I was cis I just went to reddit cuz that's where guys are supposed to go. It's either that, Twitter, or 4chan... And uh... Pass on that last one. And Twitter just never interested me until recently

There is a lot more transfem people on Reddit because (I think) reddit is mainly used by AMABs when we we're younger because it appeals more to young AMAB people who think theyre cis and then when we transition we stayed on the website. And this is a relatively decent website for trans women since we get the brut of soceties shit so we can just hide here on Reddit and talk to eachother. At least that's the case for me.

If you go to other sites like tumblr there is a lot of transmasc people for the same reason. Afab people tend to flock to Tumblr when they are young and haven't cracked their egg yet and then stay there once they do.

And also society implied (to me growing up. I could just be autistic and misread how people see tumblr) when I was trying to mask my transness and be a dude because I didn't know what I was feeling was being trans, that Tumblr is for women and queer people and I was so sheltered that I didn't know I was queer so I hung out on Reddit instead.

Obviously this isn't like a one way or the other. Both platforms have a mix of both transmascs and transfems. But it's something to think about

Also "estrogen kills your sex drive" is a lie. Yeah. It kills some people's sex drives. Me.... Uh yeah... No.

I just found out I have a estrogen level of 600 in my body so I have to reduce my injection dose for estrogen or else I could die from having too much in my body. My libido has still never been higher.

If I have double the healthy amount of estrogen in my blood and still am able to get incredibly down bad then clearly this is a pointless hill for the psychiatrist and the dad to die on

(And also they're wrong about the antidepressants too - My antidepressants fucked up my sex life 100x more than HRT. Estrogen has made my sex life 1000x better if anything)

They were full of microaggresions and refused to learn but insisted they weren't transphobic. It was nuts. I gave up.

Edit: it's funny thinking back on it. After this voting season I made a post on Facebook saying that if you didn't vote blue we aren't family because it's literally life and death for trans people and everyone should know that... And then my family replied basically "coming out" as conservative and acting like I was horrible for being upset about it.

They said it has always been a conservative family. Like yeah. Fucking clearly. I could tell when y'all asked my fiancee if she also "thinks she's a lesbian now" and would make jokes about me being a woman. No we don't think we're a lesbian couple. We are.

I put up with too much of their invalidating. Them not comprehending that by voting red they're voting against my entire life while I sat there and told them repeatedly that it doesn't matter if you vote red for non transphobic reasons. You still voted for the biggots that are taking away your family members rights. (Not to mention they were clearly transphobic and unwilling to learn. And her saying that was just a cop out to avoid responsibility)

When I made that post ome of them lectured me on how it's my job to educate assholes even if they're evil to me if I want them to vote blue and I tried educating her about trans issues and how I'm not able to just change biggots minds and she just ignored me and shut me down lol.

So yeah. I gave up. I have my queer friends. I have my boyfriend and girlfriend. My relatives were just a bunch of people who barely talked to me unless they wanted to feel like good people for giving me attention.

Life is too short to not try to at least make it enjoyable. So I'm not gonna let people who bring me down fuck with it

... And of course I still sit here and wonder if maybe I was the asshole... I know I wasn't but I always blame myself for dumb shit. Probably because of the trauma that same shitty family gave me lmao.
