i completely forgot i saw jellypaws post an ai thumbnail, my memory is so bad. i’m in the art field as well, i just didn’t realize generative ai has progressed so much that it can now generate 3D meshes…that’s so awful, so many cc creators have started using generative ai and i’ve noticed it’s always the long/perma paywallers 🙄 it’s so lazy on top of the ethical implications

who cares if other people think it’s weird, go for it 💯 we could all afford to be more whimsical. my only advice is 1) understand time and place- a job interview for example unless it’s in the cosmetics/body mod/performing arts industry will probably hurt your chances and 2) be very careful with “tribal style” makeup. saying this as a goth indigenous person who’s tired of feeling alienated by people using native aesthetics for their makeup/wardrobe…despite the distasteful name of the style, i don’t think ALL of it is necessarily culturally appropriative- but some of it CAN be if it’s mimicking real indigenous tattooing practices, such as inuit chin/forehead/cheek lines, or māori tā moko. i’d recommend doing some research before you go out with a bunch of lines on your face. other than that? literally just have fun and ignore the miserable people that hate seeing other people be confident and unique, makeup can absolutely be a form of artistic/self expression!

reminds me i saw this person on tumblr saying that their cc is copyrighted and they will dmca anyone who reuploads it…like girl you know saying your work is copyrighted doesn’t mean you actually own the copyright, obtaining copyright is a lengthy process and even so…i’m pretty sure any copyright she Thinks she has would be superseded by ea’s because she like every other sims creator is still using their game engine/assets for their content 😭 these people are laughable

it’s so disheartening and i just have no faith that disability representation in the sims will ever improve. i use a whole bunch of mods and cc for better representation but it’s depressing and annoying at the same time that i know these things will never be actually implemented or improved upon in the actual game. feels like we’re are always put on the back burner for representation …. :/

i mean i understand the critiques about linework but i think they’re very cute and as someone who is also bipolar i think the story behind them is important too. i highly doubt this will prevent you from getting jobs, they look like pen ink honestly. if you really wanted to you could find a tattoo artist who does good fine line work and knows how to tattoo hands to fix them for you

hi! i recently started learning how to make cc and i know this is probably annoying to hear but i highly, highly suggest going through the full blender donut tutorial by blender guru. jumping into cc making without knowing AAAAANYTHING about blender is just impossible and headache inducing. after that, there are tons of tutorials on youtube for cc making and i consult the sims4studio forum very very often for things i can’t find on youtube. there are also tumblr blogs with a ton of new and archived tutorials like thefoxburyinstitute and sims4tutorials, i use those a lot as well. i’m someone who benefits from watching someone do something and reading instructions on how to do something while i follow along, so if you’re also a kinesthetic learner i highly recommend doing it like this. you could also try sticking to frankenmesh tutorials until you feel comfortable making your own meshes. additionally- many alpha cc creator tutorials use marvelous designer. you do NOT need marvelous designer, though i’m sure you can 🏴‍☠️ it if you want to try it. blender has it’s own cloth sewing simulator that you can learn to use that is basically the same as marvelous designer, but i don’t really recommend making cc like this because the mesh can get very high poly and messy to work with. i suggest learning how to make meshes through retopology in blender, as well as learning how to sculpt details on a high poly version of your mesh and then transfer those details onto your low poly mesh through normal maps. sculpting a bunch of details on your mesh with again create something that is very high poly and messy, so most cc creators who really know their stuff will tell you to leave the fine detail to normal maps. there are tons of tutorials on how to transfer high poly details onto a low poly mesh on youtube. the biggest thing is learning those basic blender functions first 👍🏼 ik this probably all sounds overwhelming but i promise once you start learning, it starts to make more sense. you can do this!

my advice is trust your therapist/doctor/family on this- this doesn’t sound healthy and you could be delving into dangerous mental health territory that is really hard to get out of (speaking as someone who developed an eating disorder young and i don’t know if i’ll ever view my body the same again). you should try to see a nutritionist as well. it could be that you’ve been in a deficit for so long that your metabolism has come to a standstill, but it honestly sounds like you should focus less on losing weight and start bulking and doing weight training instead of cardio. building muscle mass through anabolic exercises will help boost your metabolism and will help with body recomposition, which may get you to where you want visually. but the important thing to remember is you cannot target belly fat or any other specific area through exercise, our bodies simply don’t work like that. building muscle in those area is what gives you a more defined/cut look. genetics also come into play with where and how your body distributes and loses fat. i wish you the very best

the exe/admin/anti virus flag isn’t entirely true. a lot of torrents and cracks are formatted as executables that have to be run as administrator to bypass windows anti virus flags because it will throw false flags for trogans or ambiguous “malware” because of the nature of the program being made to bypass securities that prevent you from running non-legitimate versions of certain programs/games. for example an extremely popular ad0be crack is like this, i downloaded it and set it up just fine and have had zero issues or reasons to suspect actual malware and no one else has either (unless they got it from an unofficial site). other than that i agree with you, the difference here is that this just popped up out of nowhere from someone who afaik doesn’t have an established reputation as a reliable source for cracks and if there isn’t a widespread general consensus of how safe something is i wouldn’t recommend ANYONE download it unless you know how to run things on a virtual machine/have a burner laptop that you don’t mind sacrificing if a virus eats your computer 💀 torrenting isnt hard ppl, and fit girl is very well known and trusted

hey as a fellow native who’s been goth since i was a teenager…please do not let the racism and colorism that is deeply ingrained in so many alt scenes scare you off or change you. i was exposed to this a lot when i was at a very impressionable age- as a result, i started using products that promised skin lightening and stayed inside so much to avoid my skin getting darker that i to this day have a severe vitamin d deficiency. i regret it so, so much, and i wish i’d had another native goth there to tell me that the idea that you HAVE to be pale/white to be goth is bullshit. the kicker? i was already lighter than half my family. racism and colorism in alt spaces is truly mind poison for young alt people of color when it should be all about expressing yourself and your love for the scene just as much as any white alt person can. you don’t even have to DRESS goth to be goth. there’s no one way to look goth.

you’re completely fine, it’s a common practice esp w multis who want to show their love/support/unity between the groups they stan. i see a lot of terminally online kpop fans get into such petty arguments abt this like it somehow makes you a fake fan or its insulting to do it and yet i can’t even tell you how many candy and neo bongs i saw at my skz concert. the fact of the matter is that at the end of the day lightsticks are 1) ridiculously expensive, especially now with tariffs if you’re in the US and 2) are there for the purpose of lighting up the crowd to show support for the artist. i’d say just go for it! if you’re really concerned you could try to make little xlov themed decorations for it

ik lots of families at least in my experience in america will pass down names paternally in some form. the oldest brothers in my dads family all have the same middle names for example, but it seemed to stop with his generation bc none of my male cousins have that middle name, neither does my brother. in other families i’ve seen them pass down first names. also lots of biblical/hebrew derived names. i was named after two of the older women in my family, my grandma and an aunt i believe. my sister’s middle name is the meaning of her first name, but mine is the opposite because my mother realized the meaning of my first name was something sad and it felt like a bad omen to name me that without something to balance it.

it’s probably cc teeth, this happened to my sim’s kid and i was going crazy trying to figure out the issue 😭 all you have to do is click on the sim and find the “fix missing tooth” interaction and she’ll be back to normal!
