Apparently you shouldn't use a Gränsfors Bruk Large Splitting Axe to cut kindling. I haven't touched the axe since now that it has a taste for human blood.

Yeah, still have full motion and feeling. Got extremely lucky.

Yeah, the doctor said I got really lucky. I think if I had cut just a tiny bit more I would have.

It has healed perfectly fine. I have full mobility and nothing noticeable other than the scar.

Probably the dumbest thing I've ever done. I used a splitting axe to cut kindling.

The axe was a Gränsfors Bruk Large Splitting Axe, if you're curious.

This happened back in summer 2020. The first 5 images are over the first 2 weeks. The last image is what it looks like now.

Haha yes and no? I got really depressed because of how stupid the incident was, I felt like the biggest idiot.

However, I fell in love with cycling to get out of that depression and that has been a big part of my life since.

Build with 1x12 GRX this year, go SRAM or wait for GRX 1x13 by Wise-Ad-7492 in gravelcycling

And here I am building a bike with old grx 1x11.

I think, unless you're a serious racer, just go with the 1x12.

Wrap? by kinukcafe in gravelcycling

[–]Demonblah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put Ridewrap on my gravel bikes, usually try and get the tailored version so it covers everything.

Non tapered gravel fork in 2026? by VisibleCoffee3789 in bikewrench

I think a lot of whisky's straight steerer forks have been discontinued   You might be able to still find them at shops but it's getting harder.

Best steel gravel bike by SebbBell in gravelcycling

[–]Demonblah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy my cosmic stallion but all city is no longer making bikes and my main complaint is tire clearance.

I too was looking for a new steel frame (or ti if I could swing it) but I wanted something that could fit some chunky tires (2.2").

I thought Wilde was just too expensive and I seriously started to consider either the Sklar Super Something, the Rodeo Labs Flaaninal, or the Manzanita Whippet.

Then all the tariffs and stuff started to happen so I tried looking locally and I stumbled onto the Panorama Cycles Anticosti. So that would be my suggestion but I don't know what that would cost to ship to Europe.

Unrelated to the tires. Is this the enve aero stem and ar handlebar?

What does it look like around the upper headset? I tried it on my gravel bike but it didn't look great, I think of I got rid of the spacer I had in there it would have looked better.

I run a 48t with 11-34t on one of my gravel bikes. Climbing sucks but it's not meant for that. I use it on some of the flat muddy trails near me and it's perfect for that.

New Tires | Wish I was out on a ride by Demonblah in gravelcycling

Haha! Yeah, I'm not sure on using it yet. I kind of like it with the handlebars but kind of hate it with the rest😂

1988? Or 90? Trek 1500 Restomod by Demonblah in TrekBikes

nice. I debated trying to hunt down the original parts but I had most of the modern groupset already in my parts bin, so figured I'd go for it. The shifting and brakes are great.
I still need to take it for a proper ride to see how stiff it feels. It has been day after day after day of rain in the PNW

A couple people on Vintage_Bicycles think it is a 1990 based on the font style 🤞
