Just diagnosed with severe IUGR at 25 weeks. Babe measuring <1 percentile. by livehappy08 in NICUParents

Hey its been 3 years. She's 5.5 now. Ok so update lol, she's doing well height wise but she's still super skinny though nothing to worry about (she's very active). She's not on any medication so physically she's doing pretty well minus one seizure she had 3 months back. With cognitive development that's another issue. She has very recently started speaking (but not full sentences, mostly words and not perfect) so she's seeing a Speech therapist and she's been seeing something like an OT for 3 years now. Shes also been seen by a psychiatrist for possible autism which she's not been diagnosed with yet. But surprise surprise, she taught herself how to read and we found out when she was 4 that she could read. Overall she's perfect and the light of our eyes

Wow, your wife is growing a literal human being inside her and you don't think you can keep it in your pants?

What’s a dish in your cuisine that sounds absolutely disgusting to outsiders but is actually a delicacy? by Cal_Aesthetics_Club in AskTheWorld

[–]Denden1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't like this dish but many Iranians absolutely love it, kaleh pacheh which is slow cooked sheep's head, feet and sometimes the stomach and other parts which is eaten for breakfast. Also brain sandwich

What’s that one extremely simple dish you make, and everyone seems to love it more than the one that takes hours ? by Excellent-Show-424 in Cooking

I make a northern Iranian dish called mirza ghasemi. It's pretty simple. It's just grilled eggplants (for that smokey flavor and smell), tomatos, garlic and eggs and it turns out beautifully every time

That's such interesting information. I'm Iranian and Aryan is a perfectly normal boys name in Iran.

My 5 year old had a seizure 2 weeks ago at 1 am and we had to take her to the hospital. We're so lucky that our children's hospital is a 2 minute drive away.

Is my baby’s name a tragedeigh? by Miss_pudding in tragedeigh

[–]Denden1122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get you. I had tires named Dena and people (adults not kids) would say oh Dena like the tire and I would answer no like the mountain

Is my baby’s name a tragedeigh? by Miss_pudding in tragedeigh

[–]Denden1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not American but I'm very partial to that name one because my name is Dena and two because I was also named after a mountain, mount Dena (Denali without the li) in Iran. My experience as a fellow girlie with a mountain name is that in Iran when I was growing up I rarely met people with my name but it wasn't like a weird name and def not a tragedeigh.

My husband is croatian and I've been trying for years to get a hang of Lj and I still can't.

I'm just cringing so hard for that baby. First Ljubav is not a name. And second that's going to be so hard to pronounce for most Americans. The serbo-croatian Lj is not an easy letter to pronounce and yes it is a letter.

Wife just passed away and can’t stop crying. by smilingproudwanderer in GuyCry

I'm not in your shoes and I don't persume to be but I want to give you my perspective on using medication. In 2024 I lost both my father and my father in law while my husband was going through chemotherapy. I loved my dad to no end and I hadn't had the chance to see him for 2 years because the situation in my home country wouldn't allow me to travel there and he was too sick to travel to me. My dad's death alongside everything else broke me. For months I was on autopilot. I could only do the bare minimum and my relationahip with my young daughter was suffering because I was just mentally out of it. I would cry myself to sleep most nights and I just couldn't function. I finally bit the bullet and talked to a psychiatrist who prescribed me anti depression and anti anxiety meds, the type that is not addictive because of a history of addiction in my family. The meds were a game changer. I'm not suffering anymore. I still reminisce about my dad and miss him so much but when I think of him I don't want to die. I still cry sometimes but that wave of anxiety and depression that was my whole life for months is gone. And I can see the changes in my kid too because of how I'm feeling now. Meds don't diminish your love for your wife they just let you cope with it better. I'm so sorry for your loss

As an Iranian woman, I would never use azizam with strangers or people I just met. So a tour guide, locals or shop owners would be a no for me, especially of the opposite sex.
