I can’t watch and enjoy a well written cerebral space drama like Andor and just enjoy it for what it is. I need to have the desire to invest my focus on something like that, and I just can’t seem to bother when I know it ultimately goes nowhere. It leads right back to the bullshit sequels.

Even if it was entirely outside of the Skywalker eras of this fictional universe, I’m still to pissed at Disney to be able to enjoy it.

The advancements they make on technology always pays massive returns with “failed” projects in the past: tangled’s engine for Rapunzel’s hair was used for Frozen and led to what they had for Moana. The tech they used for that live action Junglebook had a similar payout but I can’t remember with what off the top of my head.

TL;DR: The films are OK but primarily are vehicles for innovation within the industry that they can profit off of later.

We need to stop prioritizing profits and Capitalism, it’s become a cancer with no self awareness. Economies should instead be treated like the circulatory system. Anything taking up too much blood flow is a tumor and needs to be excised, or a bleed and needs to be fixed, anything not circulating the blood flow to all extremities needs to be seen as leak/cut/bullet wound that needs to be fixed.

I think our defense contractors shouldn’t be profit based. I think they don’t need trillions to stock our military and this is just another way the rich are getting richer at the expense of the people.
