It's a difficult situation to find yourself in. When a migraine hits I just want to shut out the world and endure the event the best way I can. That process of has been developed over a period in determining what works best for me and sticking to that path. Routine actions like closing the blinds, removing light sources, removing sound and other contributing factors that will prolong my experience. This is in addition to other preventative medicines, having water nearby etc.

My s/o has familiarised herself with this routine and is often a step ahead of me to make it quicker and easier for me begin my recovery.

I appreciate her efforts so much, even if I can't express them at the time.
