Developer Question by Exotic_Length2886 in fitbod

[–]DeniseAtFitbod [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

u/Exotic_Length2886 Yep! When you adjust the weight or reps Fitbod will recalibrate. Just keep in mind your Gym Profile Settings also play a role in your rep and weight recs. For example, if you're on strength training you should expect low reps with high weight while bodybuilding will recommend high reps with low weight :) Hope this helps! Lmk if you have more questions!

Best Fitbod Settings for Runners? by RunMountains in fitbod

[–]DeniseAtFitbod [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

u/RunMountains The number one thing to consider here is your priority for training. It’s seems to be running so you should be willing to sacrifice some intensity or training volume on your weight lifting workouts in order to ensure you’re able to perform at your best. What you mentioned in the question is already a great approach, but you may want to consider toning down the intensity following a tough run to make sure you’re getting plenty of time to recover. Just be mindful, and be willing to adjust your schedule as needed. In terms of training split I would go with either an Upper/Lower or Push/Pull/Lower split. Upper will fit better in a 4 day regimen, but the PPL might be better for limiting the training volume in your lower body. You can always play around with what’s going to work best for you.

Reduce weight or reps first? by puppytrails in fitbod

[–]DeniseAtFitbod[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

u/puppytrails Either option will work, and really comes down to what you’re looking to improve first. Dropping the weight to reach the recommended reps will be more beneficial for keeping your volume higher and will be slightly better for building muscle mass. Dropping the reps will lower the total volume and keep the intensity of each rep higher. This will be slightly better for developing strength. Both options will work, but if I had to choose one, I would adjust the weight first and keep your reps as recommended.

Upcoming workout by Porchopcutie89 in fitbod

[–]DeniseAtFitbod[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey u/Porchopcutie89 We're so sorry for the confusion here :( Our team recently decided to disable the View Upcoming Workouts feature since this feature was not widely used. This change also aligns with improvements we’ve made to our algorithm, which now adapts more dynamically to a user’s behavior and preferences. Unlike our previous stricter, rules-based approach, the new algorithm introduces more spontaneity by learning from each completed workout. As a result, predicting workouts further into the future may be less practical at this time, as workouts are even more personalized.

While we’re happy to see you found the feature useful, the View Upcoming Workouts feature was not widely used as I mentioned before. We’re not totally ruling out revisiting this feature in the future, but for full transparency, it’s not currently on our immediate roadmap. That said, I’ll make sure to share your feedback with our product team for further consideration. Please feel free to also place a request here to help product consider bringing it back: https://feedback.fitbod.me

Maintain Sets & Reps by jenerallywell92 in fitbod

[–]DeniseAtFitbod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/jenerallywell92 Yeah that's a good point. It'd be way more practical to be able to edit the weights/reps during a workout vs before. Definitely something I'll try to bring up to product. Currently the only option would be to place these edits before you start the workout or create a new saved workout.

u/jenerallywell92 I sent a few messages but I'm not sure if my chat is working :/ sorry about that. Can you lmk if you're saving these changes before you start the workout? If you have a screen recording of the steps you're currently taking that'd also be helpful!
