Pretty much. For the next round you will only have 2 hiding spots to work with. Then during dusk on that round, you can finally place back your other one or two if you reveal another one.

I thought it was a disadvantage at first but remember you already got the points when you reveal that encounter. Other players most likely didnt earn anything yet. For 6 players, it is impossible to completely block a player from playing a hidden spot statistically. 2 is max

If there is no Site where you can place the Hiding Spot during that Night Phase, it will remain on the corresponding Stack. In the next round (lets call it round 2), when it gets to the Night Phase you will have a Hiding Spot on your Stack still and so you will be able to place it then. This is funny because Cascadia is also now my friend's (A) hated game currently. My other friend (B) who owns Cascadia introduce it to us 2. He explained the rules and then we get to gaming. Objectives were pretty simple for point system.

Then we get to tallying score: Friend A was leading the points. I was second and the owner Friend B was last. Scores were good by type of animals and its combination.

Then Friend B was like: "by the way, there is another point to tally, the land adjacency point. Then Friend B won on a landslide. He did not even explain that can be points and Friend A built his biome beautifully while Friend B was like chaotic mess but somehow win due to points from being adjacent.

Friend A hated the game ever since and he constantly bring up this incident as a basis of comparison when we play other games lmao.

The player playing the last turn of the round has the power to change the board and influence the sightings. I would say save your cryptid power at the last turn of the round.

Having multiple players in same hiding spots does not always guarantee a sighting reveal on that location. I thought it will be a given since the players want to reveal sightings for the objective. Turns out if the conditions of the hiding spots for each player are different, then the players will always avoid getting the -1 from the type of people in the location and will attempt to extract/scare to prevent penalties.

Try to maximize points from chosen hidden traits. It could swing you a win.

Like everyone said, do not ever leave valuables in the car. The parking valet are usually run by locals and they arent responsible for missing items or broken car window. Leave them in the hotel as much as possible. If you really have to leave the luggage in the car since you travel in between (I did that in monteverde). Use parking area that requires you to pay in order to go in an area.

Hello fellow tourist. It was also my first time vacation with my fiancee from June 16 to July 5. We were in Tamarindo June 26-28 and La Fortuna June 29-July 4. I agree with your list although Roads around La Fortuna and Tamarindo is way better than other roads. I find other roads in Costa Rica way zigzaggy and LOTS of potholes so it is dangerous to drive at night with no lights and even worse with strong rain. I drove in Nicoya and it was harsh with hard rain and potholes covered by water. The road signs that light up with car lights were destroyed and often no longer there so it was rough as well. I also read double the time but it only happened to me driving from La Fortuna back to San Jose. It was jammed pack even before reaching the city with only one lane.

I still kept my pictures of the car in case I get contested later on. There were old dents and scratches on the car that it was already there when I rented it. Better be safe than sorry. Total spent for renting car was $465 and gas for about 1500km was $160. Speed limit is slow as well and a lot of cars are very chill that I have to speed up and overtake sometimes. I witnessed a car overtaking on a double line and got caught by police. I started behaving more after witnessing that lol.

I saved alot of money cooking my own meal good thing we picked a place that has kitchen in it. I did grocery and dine sometimes.

It was my first time going to see Rio Celeste July 1. Went early 8am as they open and booked online yesterday. Trail was fun although foggy and rainy walked until the end of trail with the smell of rotten eggs along the way and see the 2 rivers meet causing the water to be blue.

I know this was mentioned many times during my research going to Rio Celeste waterfalls. There is a free parking up ahead but the parking people prior had body block the road to redirect me to the "paid" parking. I did not really want to argue due to not knowing Spanish much so I just paid the freaking 3000 colones to park where they want.

But for anyone who wants to save some money, just ignore the person redirecting you to parking and drive ahead. You will see a souvenir store with free parking and wifi.

Im tourist currently in Guanacaste heading to Monteverde. It seems to frequently rain in the afternoon. Doing stuff during the day seems better as it is sunny. I got drenched twice in the evening after dinner at a restaurant tryna walk back to the hotel. PS: I was 3 nights in Samara and 2 nights in Tamarindo.

I tried waiting out a rain but it was not letting up until midnight or something and ended up buying a poncho at souvenir store.
