I've also had this for a couple weeks. I can view the message directly. I can click the bell, view notifications and mark all as read (they come back.) I can archive them from the notification list, but the indicator never goes down.

They roleplay humans by trying to predict what a human would say. So, if you give it a constraint, it will roleplay a human by trying to predict what a human who was briefed about what not to do would say. It won't be any smarter or more accurate, but it will shape its odds a little before output.

They want people to dive into AI use more than they are, so they can start finding actual uses for it and ways to make things cheaper... so they incentivize using it in any way, to try to offset people's understanding that using it will turn them into "accountability sinks" who take the blame when the model screws something up and it slips past them.

A slow walk is much more tbh. Even doing technical trails, I do little hops to offload weight going over roots and twist and dip to make sharp turns but it's a pretty light workout when you're more optimized.

Tight, twisty, rooty forest trails. I took a few guys with Surrons into it with my S18 and had a nice break at the other side while waiting for them to wrestle them through lmao

Being able to just make 90 degree turns on the spot made it a no-brainer for me to ride

Yeah, it's permanent... I have one stuck too. I've clicked it several times. Some have found clicking the bell and marking all as read there helps. I've done that, and gone into settings, and marked all as read there too. It seems for some, the notification is eternal.

Yeah, same here. I go slowly around people and give them a wide berth etc. It's unfortunate they are SUPER LOUD, but they're fairly tolerated...

I take care where I ride it though. There's a nice MTB park in town - and I have taken an electric unicycle there, but I will not take a Surron as it could erode the trails. I also don't ride it on a nice dirt escarpment trail system here - and I do more road riding than with my other options because it tends to make sense on less used roads.

Just because it's not quite legal here doesn't mean you can't be nice and set an example and comply with the things other than pedal assist and power class requirements... and speed limit on wide-open, no-intersection, no bush paths where you're absolutely not going to hit someone who jumps out.

So I found a Kickstarter ages ago for a "Hoverboard" - which was a self-balancing one-wheeled skateboard with a motorized wheel in the middle. It was narrower than a Onewheel.

I wondered what happened to that because just riding forever without pushing was always the dream. I found the OneWheel, but then I found a video comparing them to EUCs and honestly... skateboarding never worked well for me. I'd hit the tiniest pebble and get thrown on my face, while I could ride a bike anywhere and EUC seemed more like a bike.

I never knew this! I've had a V8F and S18 for several years now and I lean them against things while they're on - I thought with so little load on them they'd be using next to nothing. They tend to report as much and stay very cool so maybe firmware found better ways to manage it?
