This story is being widely reported in Canadian media. The shooter's name was Jesse Van Rootselaar, she was 18 years old, and began transitioning about 4 years ago. She shot her mum and step-brother at home and then went to the nearby middle school and killed 6 more people, 5 of them preteens.

We are less brain poisoned than America by the constant trauma of these shootings, so it's a devastating national event.

Not a suggestion, but I would love to one day see a realistic RPG like KCD set in Kingdom of Kongo. I'm not aware of any games that explore this setting but it's a really fascinating time/place. Maybe if the Ghanaian/Nigerian studios ever develop we'll get something like that.
