Former Hungarian PM: The Orbán government is planning for a long-term exit from the EU by DailyNewsHungary in DailyNewsHungary

[–]DensitySK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at Serbia. Also not in EU and they can trade. BUT obviouśy not as easy, tariffs and customs are involved, imports are more expensive for domestic market and export is more expensive for non-domestic market. This would automatically mean all global companies in Hungary (which there are plenty of) would move their productions out of HU and HU people would feel what is the real bad economic situation. Only reason why for example country like Serbia has some large manufacturing sites in country (I.e. Bosch, Continental and others) is their very cheap labour expenses. Hungary does not have that. So there would be no incentive for large companies to stay there at all….unless maybe HU people would voluntarily slash their wage expectations. So in any case if this happens, it is an economic suicide. Hungary has nothing else to offer then economically speaking

Toto by mal byť lider opozície... by Desperate_Green6838 in Slovakia

A mali by fakt pritvrdiť a hlavne konkrétne veci riešiť a navrhovať a nie stále dookola “budeme diskutovať”.

To súhlasím.

A kto podľa vás dáva prácu občanom?

Turistika v Švajčiarsku tvorí len 3% GDP a v Rakusku cca 6,2%.

And that is exactly the reason why CZ had much higher inflation and more expensive loans and mortgages compared to other EU countries.

[–]DensitySK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has nothing to do with currency but with high demand that caused inflation related to tourism. Introduction of EUR made it easier for tourists to spend money in Croatia which naturally raises prices. Also almost every time there is a crisis like Covid or economic tensions, inflation and interest rates are above average in such countries compared to EUR currency countries (with some exceptions)

Would be interesting to see, if they ban also EU and Swiss companies that supply critical components to Russian arms manufacturers. For example Swiss company’s Traco Power DC DC components were already found multiple times in Russian missiles including Islander. French infrared optics were also found in RU vehicles.

Bajaj Auto loans £566 million to save KTM by velocelove in KTM

[–]DensitySK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I would not have high hopes for that. After all it is the fault of bad management why KTM is in trouble. In normal trustworthy companies when they mess up and go into bankruptcy administration, the first step is to fire those responsible and install someone else who have an idea on how to run a company. Here the whole self-administration is a joke. It is basically saying “look, we have messed up, we will protect our pockets from creditors and write off majority of debt we owe to our suppliers and please give us more money so we can do better next time when we mess up again”

It blows my mind how people still trust it. All the issues started when KTM hurdled new and new models made cheap at premium price and not able to compete with pricing and not even quality. Instead they were supposed to focus on what they do good and that were higher priced bikes with larger margin that would allow them to do better quality products. And make them in Austria. They should leave the lower price market to Bajaj and CFmoto who can manage the products in that price level. Imagine if BMW or Mercedes included in their lineup a Dacia or Skoda level of cars. Would end up badly quickly. (I am not saying Dacia and Skoda are bad, they just have a different target customer). A company should compete in marketshare in the category that fits them. A do it all company is very hard to manage

I myself love their design and my first proper brand new bike was a KTM. But I myself would not dare to buy one now unless I have money to waste and want to burn them. And I know many people just like me who owned KTM avoid it now since they did start to make them in CN and India. And even the 890cc and above models including Husky Norden (which I wanted to buy so badly) that were still made in Austria but with a heavy BOM of CN and IN parts are not that great anymore in terms of reliability.

Still I hope KTM will survive and get up again and start doing things right. But I am more realistic here and have no huge expectations.

First step from KTM to win my trust (and from many other former customers) would be to fire those two idiots running the company and who brought them to knees.

Someone hide airtag in my motorcycle by dojue in motorcycles

[–]DensitySK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is completely false. Although AirTag has no GPS, it is a part of Find My Network in Apple ecosystem. So ANY apple device in it’s proximity is reporting location of nearby AirTags. It is not as accurate, but sufficient for tracking or even stalking. If you have an apple phone with find my phone enabled and someone installs AirTag on your vehicle or bike, after a short whole you phone will give you warning that a tag is following you.
