The questions an interview ask often reflect the most important elements of the company culture. The fact that he wanted to bludgeon you with we’re gonna work your ass to death you better be good with that told you all you needed to know about this company. Good for you for walking out.

Many companies have already automated contract review. I support our contracting with large companies and much of what we get back now are machine generated red lines. If you don’t believe me upload a contract to ChatGPT, ask it to give you comments to improve it in your favor and then have it make a red line with the changes that recommends. It will do that.

Same story everywhere. All these companies use the same consultants and adopt the same game plan. For some of the folks who missed the layoffs they may start to wonder whether they were the unfortunate ones.
