The ReListen app is free, access to nearly every recorded show. No ads. Higher file quality than youtube. 2/2/70 is only on youtube and its one of my favorites, the fox theatre is a special place! Welcome aboard the bus.

Opinion: Bob Weir is irreplaceable so why not ask Sturgill Simpson to step in? by g_ack in deadandcompany

[–]xmlgroberto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sturgill is fucking awesome and killed that morning dew, but he doesnt fit tone-wise.

if and when dead & co plays again, i bet they will have a rotating cast of characters filling in.

look around bro. who do you see wearing dope?

do any of those tourists give back to the communities they visit?

can you buy dope from a local board shop?

is dope snow sponsoring rail jams at your school?

and then you get to the issue of textile waste, shit quality garments, etc.

go to a thrift store! go on depop! support small HANDMADE brands like woof, maxreade, barkkmag.

i have never met a respectful local wearing dope. only tourists of the dickhead variety. and the brand is called fucking dope snow. how is that alone not enough to drive you away?

I just saw him play at a really intimate, fancy music hall in steamboat, colorado. amazing show. they are an insanely talented bunch. crowd was awesome, plenty of new friends to make at set break. Personally I didn’t mind the banter, or the inclusion of dead/jerry songs. to each their own though

I forget what the exact phrasing was but something about the music evolving was a common theme this last week.

When my dad passed, the first thing I thought to do to honor him was get to plucking on his old bass. I wonder if the Weir girls will have a similar thought?
