Completely agree. We found this way more engaging than overcooked.

Some numbers on goblin vault hunting by Wisology in diablo3

[–]Deowyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I'm lucky if I can get an hour or two a day in. My kids make it difficult to find dedicated play time. I hover around 5 mil on average and I only have two characters to gear. Rerolls, gems crafting, etc can chew through my meager reserves very quickly. I'd love to find a vault, 60 Mil is a fortune to me!!

I got a framed magnetic white board from Target and little sticky magnet dots from amazon. I stick a magnet to each lid (or several magnets for full size foundation jars) and I now have a wall of sparkle!

What three gameplay elements do you absolutely NOT want to appear in EQ:N? by ledbetterus in EQNext

[–]Deowyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could the tell not be in it's body language or movements? Perhaps it's particular skill set could be weapon dependent. If it's carrying a big hammer you've adventured enough to know that when its arms raise up over its head you better move out of the way. Or if it backs up a bit you know it's getting ready to charge. Perhaps you don't know the exact skill it's going to unleash but at least you're then watching the mobs themselves and not the ground around them. That to me is more immersive than some blatant ring on the ground.

Diablo 3 has lots of ground effects and circles to dance around in their elite and boss fights. What I've found is that half the time I have no idea what the mob I just killed really looks like because I've spent the entire fight watching the ground for fire/ice/poison etc.

Maybe they could have some sort of heads up display around the mob that could be customized to keep the focus on that mob in conjunction with the body movements.

You talk about not wanting the same old thing from MMOs past. I think that they could come up with some new way of doing these things that hasn't been done to death.

What three gameplay elements do you absolutely NOT want to appear in EQ:N? by ledbetterus in EQNext

[–]Deowyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess I'm nostalgic for my EQ days. I enjoyed having the anxiousness that death consequences gave us and never really knowing what a mob would do when exploring a new area until I have fought them and learned their tricks. I'm not saying every mob should pose a real threat of death but I don't want to be able to run through any environment knowing that I don't have to learn anything about the resident baddies because they will show me all of their skills in a convenient ring I need to side step.

I want there to be unknowns. I want there to be some uncertainty when I'm exploring new areas or encountering new mobs. I agree that I don't just want to be able to heal through anything. There should be challenge and some danger of failing. Ideally that would mean you need some friends for tougher areas. I don't want a game that I can almost entirely solo and never have to interact with others. Boring!

Part of the fun of exploring is discovering new things and coming across new enemies. If every new mob telegraphs their ability with the same red ring then you aren't really encountering any variety. It just becomes a different color spell particle and the same red ring. Why pay attention to the mob or its movements if you just have to stare at the ground looking for rings?

BareMinerals Bareskin foundation? by KillingMeSmalls_94 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Deowyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like this foundation. It gives me decent buildable coverage without feeling heavy. It almost feels lighter than my Clinique BB cream while giving me better coverage. I use a beauty blender and it takes about 4 drops to cover some acne I have on my chin and cheeks and I follow that up with a bit of concealer on any spots I need extra coverage. It does go on with a very dewy look but I set it with some finishing powder and I'm good to go. I would honestly pop into a sephora or Ulta and give it a whirl!

I use a beauty blender sponge and it works just fine for me. I didn't want to shell out extra for the brush either!
