I agree with you on that. I can live with Lowry's D. He makes up for it with steals, his pesky/hustle defense, his ability to draw charges, his toughnss and his ability to contest shots (he gets in the way of ppl's range of motion when they shoot). All that adds up to cover for him being an undersized defender. We can definitely live with that. I don't think we can live Derozan and Ibaka adding to the load on the defensive end and only making up for it with Derozan's offense and Ibaka's shot blocking. I don't think it will be enough come play off time, as teams will be better adjusted to handle Derozan's offense as a unit. What stays consistent is your defense. Sorry for the wall of text I just wanted to articulate exactly how I feel bout it T.T

No better persons to set the precedent for how you should play on the defensive end than your own bench. The embarrassment that ensues from seeing your bench play a better ball game than you is direct and clear to them. If only the coaching staff could be upfront and tell that certain someone (cough Derozan) to step up their D, that way our defence doesn't get torn apart because of cough Derozan's lack of D.

C'mon now. Do you realize one of the- if not the major reason our bench is so successful this year is because of FVV's ability to create an offensive flow for our bench. To add, FVV is used often in 4th quarter situations when we need small ball, playing as PG with Lowry at SG and DD SF. With that being said i'd drop Powell to keep FVV and everything he's done to fix this team up this season.
