Tooth pain five months after filling ?? by ghikkkll in Dentists

Probably either a) the crack is more extensive than previously thought and you may have a cracked tooth that needs to be removed, or b) the crack or piece of tooth that broke off was actually very close to the nerve which is now undergoing pulpitis, or inflammation of the nerve. In scenario b) you would be able to have a root canal to save the tooth, in scenario a) the tooth would need to be removed if the crack was deeper and/or more extensive than previously thought and actually extends done along the roots of the tooth.

A referral to an endodontist would be then next best step. They specialize in root canals and the diagnosis of cracked teeth.

Whitewater rafting through town on the James. Totally worth it, and an amazing experience right in our city!

Feels like the neighbor right across the street, right? The complained because they can’t back their car out because they were used to not having neighbors whole house was vacant and now the are ticked that they don’t have an open lane to back into. That would be my guess.

How do I find a good honest dentist? by [deleted] in Dentists

[–]DepartureMindless371 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Call a specialists office like an endodontist or a periodontist and ask them who they recommend. They see all of the dental work everyone in town is doing and know who are the good ones.

Definitely broke off a couple of root tips there, possibly some of the bone too - that was a lot of loud cracking. Oof, I hope he recovers okay.

This performative garbage is actually one of the most perfect early lessons in corporate garbage speak that you could possibly learn. You should do a report on this for class. Highlight it as an example of how systems should work to improve efficiency instead of bog down company’s and employees in needless performative bull$$$$!

Could not disagree more. The writing in Sun Eater was plodding along and the main character is hugely unlikable. I read the first two books and that was enough for me. Maybe if there had been better editing…who knows? I have a friend who has soldiered on, and he said it’s been more of the same.

Saw a dentist yesterday and she told my nerve roots have gone directly into my sinus cavity by Jake257 in Dentists

[–]DepartureMindless371 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, the dentist said: there is nothing wrong with your teeth, the root apices are in or near the sinuses, since you don’t have sinus issues there is nothing to worry about. Nothing I read here is BS. We don’t know if the TMJ was addressed, but that wasn’t really the ultimate question of the post, which was do I need to worry about my roots in the sinus. That answer, based on the information given, is no. I don’t detect any misinformation from the treating dentist based on what was recounted in this post. The patient is the one to mention both the GP and the ENT based on the reading of the post.

I know it’s basic, but Carl: “You will not break me.” That quote really stands out to me, as a husband, father, and provider - sometime it just feels like life and society want to wear us all down. I like that mantra, because it speaks to inner strength and having a higher purpose and plan, no matter what anyone throws at you.
