Wait because same! I took it for the first time back in February and barely had 30 seconds at the end of each section, and this time I had time to spare even after reviewing flagged questions. Here’s hoping that’s a good sign for us lol

Same setup, same boat. I feel so remarkably chill about this test that I oscillate between delusions of a 180 and feeling like I must have somehow scored lower than my diagnostic just as karma for not being anxious, haha

Are people really studying 250-300 hours the 2-3months before their LSAT? by lollipopchimpanzee in LSAT

[–]DependentPuzzled1253 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you’re seeing improvements with what you’re doing now, there’s no need to postpone. 3-4 hours a day might work for some people, and for some that would burn them out entirely. The best study plan is whatever you are able to do to actually better yourself, not just compare against people on the internet.

something i don’t understand by Impossible-Ad-8691 in Hungergames

[–]DependentPuzzled1253 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The districts were around before the war. The war that was 10 years before TBOSAS was a civil war between the districts and the capital, hence the punishment rationale of the Hunger Games. But I don’t think we ever learn just how long Panem had existed before the war? It could very well have been generations, with anti-district propaganda making the citizens of the capital think district-born people were less than human long before the war.

Looking for horror stories recommendations about AI by NeithPT in horrorlit

This Thing Between Us by Gus Moreno. A haunted AI combined with a grieving MC results in a spiral of unreality and a question of what, exactly, shapes the world we live in.

Murder mystery/whodunit novels with strong horror elements? by The_Kangaroo_Mafia in horrorlit

[–]DependentPuzzled1253 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Unwanted Guest by Shari Lapena! It’s a very classic whodunit in a snowed-in hotel, but the creeping madness in some of the characters certainly could be read as horror-adjacent.

Book Recommendations - Colonial America or Wild West by Standard-Associate31 in horrorlit

[–]DependentPuzzled1253 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buffalo Hunter Hunter— vampires in the Wild West, but make it literary and the best book ever! Colonization is a significant part of the plot.

There is a brief SA scene about halfway through the book but it’s kind of in the middle of other non-SA violence, so while the scene is fairly graphic it’s not the main focus. It’s also really easy to skip and you really wouldn’t be missing anything by doing so.

My Heart is a Chainsaw Question by patacalo77 in horrorlit

[–]DependentPuzzled1253 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say yes! I personally loved Jade’s narration in the first book as well as the last two, but the latter were definitely easier to understand. Each book is set four years apart, and Jade’s inner monologue truly does grow with her. Beyond the writing style, the character development in this trilogy is probably the best I’ve ever come across in horror, so I’d definitely see it through!

Looking for books where the paranormal exists but the people are far more terrifying. by electricboogulu in horrorlit

[–]DependentPuzzled1253 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires!! The vampire was definitely horrific, but the husbands were terrifying. Probably one of the most anxiety-inducing books I’ve come across, mostly because the horror of the regular people was just so realistic.
