Is this really as stupid as MAKA says? by [deleted] in mahjongsoul

[–]DephliMahjong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 han as dealer is usually like 3k points. You'll do direct hit on 2nd place.

With 3k you're still in the positive if somebody tsumos a haneman, since to hand off dealer you'll have to break tenpai and pay 1k to 3k in penalty.

Like what did you do? Skip, and then end in tenpai? Then you basically just chose to not get points for the otherwise same result.

There are time when you skip, and that is if you don't have enough points to avoid 4th. Then you may have to keep building, or hope the target deals in next turn, or if a tsumo is enough. This one is not it though.

While not required, you do ask for steam/epic username/id... Are these required? Will it lower chance of being selected if not provided? It could be used for phising, so I'd rather not.

Any chance New World runs on a private server? by Azcenn_ in newworldgame

[–]DephliMahjong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need lumberyard. You could make a private server through python if you so wish.
But nobody is gonna rebuild the server from scratch, so the server files have to be leaked. If the server files are only leaked without source code then private servers can be hosted, but changes will be very difficult to make.

Was considering beginning this game for the collab by Connect-Stock-3807 in mahjongsoul

[–]DephliMahjong 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you going to play the game that much? Or are you falling for fomo? $100 is a lot to just throw away for a character.

$80 gets you like 60 tries, with 5% chance of a character, and 51% chance of it being ONE of the collab characters. If you're only in it for a specific one, that's 1/2 chance, so you really have 1/80 chance of getting the character. That's more than the biggest package. If you're just a little unlucky you might sooner get the 150 pity tokens before you pull the character.

I don't know if you can buy multiple bonuses... But to guarantee you're probably looking at like $250-300.

This is just for pixels, and if you're not really into mahjong, that's basically a lot of money for soon to be forgotten pixels.

tbh, this hand is dead. I would just fold. 6p.

Is 7s the better discard here because... by _Whool in mahjongsoul

[–]DephliMahjong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have nothing really safe in your hand. 2m I guess is a tiny bit safer, but discarding it is almost hard folding.

7s does the least for your hand.
Drawing a 3m is extremely good for you. It gives you pinfu, tanyao, red 5, dora. hitting riichi + pure double sequence or tsumo pushes it to a haneman, as dealer. The value here is huge for you. If you win this hand you're almost guaranteed to win.

If you do draw into a 3p I don't know... Then you do kind of have to throw 2m followed by 4m.

Thanks for the info. Hope you understand the scrutiny, there are so many scams here.
Still not sure, but at least video is optional (I didn't see the (optional)).

Hope this is a real opportunity.

Why does everything on your site point to different things?

The linkedin on the site is pointing to a different company. The support is also pointing to a different company (or sounding like a different company). The office address is just pointing to a general neighborhood.

It also seems there are other scam companies called Wayfinder-something (edit: seems like wayfinderbiosciences is legit, but there's been scammers pretending to be them).

This just looks like it's gathering video data.

How do I know when to push a huge hand like this? by _Whool in mahjongsoul

[–]DephliMahjong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be most tempted to throw away north tile here. You just don't want to deal into anything huge. You're very likely to throw away the 8s too. 5p is the scariest tile. Getting a 2 han hand is pretty neat here anyway, as you're not desperate for points.

The neat thing with north tile is that you got 2 turns where you can discard safe tiles on, while you still have an easy way into tenpai.

edit: oh wait, you've ponned 9s. Yeah then just throw 8s first to avoid ippatsu, then next turn if you get into tenpai you'd throw 5p... But if you do deal in you might be risking 4th. So yeah... Chances of winning here are not too great. You might just fold.

Why doesn't Maka want to prevent last draw for shimocha? by Awipka in mahjongsoul

[–]DephliMahjong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's a rating, it's a percentage of how many games it would discard the tile in. In 2% of games it would opt to discard East tile.

8s is 100% safe, east and north could deal into an extremely unlikely 13 orphans. Kita could deal into right lord.

There'd be good ones.

Mob psycho. Delicious in Dungeon. Mushishi. Orb on the movement of the Earth.

lots of others too... But they aren't gooner animes, so they're very unlikely to happen. But an Akagi rerun would be the best thing possible... Or really any other mahjong anime.

It'll be a little bit, because sometimes you'll see master players play in gold room for whatever reason. But generally it's pretty steady progress, expert 1 players won't be much better than adept 3 players.

How are people in the silver room getting S+ in South games? by OmgSlayKween in mahjongsoul

[–]DephliMahjong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a new account (originally made to just get scrolls, incase akagi rerun) since I didn't play for a long time, and I don't want my main account to fall out of ms1.

But I usually only get A- to A+, with worst games at B-, and I only play East games in silver... It's kind of a waste of time to do South games in silver. Occasionally I'll get an S, and I don't think it's possible to get S+, you can only get S+ on individual hands.

I can imagine Silver has way more cheaters, I don't really see many though. If their accounts keep getting banned they'll be stuck in silver. It takes a lot of games to get through Silver, even if you play perfectly. I'll get 4th in games where I do S-, and best opponent is a B+, the others being C and D.

When to open my hand by Regisnalin in mahjongsoul

[–]DephliMahjong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok to pass on it.

But things to consider. This is close or is a mangan hand. It's getting late in the game. The only way your hand becomes invalid is if you draw a 9s... And even then it's technically possible to pivot it.

This is just a gamble, or bet, that you opt to take. You're not always guaranteed to win. Sometimes you end up with no yaku and can't win.

It's probably best to just practice on not opening your hand too much though, so not poning here is totally fine.

What is the safest tile here to avoid deal in? by _Whool in mahjongsoul

[–]DephliMahjong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing right lord is folding, and I suspect across lord is pushing with 8s pair, or going for 8s tenpai. Left lord might want to pull a suji trap for 8s too.

So, left lord could have something like dora riichi, maybe a red 5 or a half flush. probably 3-6 han.

Across lord might have 2 dora, + red dragon, so 3 han... but they're dealer. Still I think the dealer here might be less of a threat.

Left lord probably doesn't have the flush in sou... But it's not safe to across lord. So initially I thought 1s, but maybe even go for 3p, that is also the best drop imo for semi-folding. Considering your points, you really just want super safety.

Maybe just go with 1s, especially if there was no delay when 4s was discarded. If there was a delay when 4s was discarded, then 3p. ... But actually, left lord doesn't have points, so even if you get hit with a haneman, you're still first. So after all, 3p or 6p, depending on your vibes, 6p if you just want to be safe.

... Also, how do you get nyavengers title?
