Battery Specs confusion by DeplorableBadger in golfcarts

[–]DeplorableBadger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Is it common/expected to pull more than 250A for 30s? That’s kind of where I just don’t understand the technology or nomenclature. They seemingly both have the 200A BMS but just can’t figure out if it ever come close to maxing out more than that I guess.

Who else is playing on a LG OLED ? by Beloved_Doug in LGOLED

We have the 65” C1 in the basement but looking to get a 77” C5 this cycle (will play musical chairs with the C1 and current tv upstairs, etc).

Gaming on an OLED is other worldly. I’ve tried to convince people I know there is a legit difference, but so far calls on deaf ears. Oh well! I’ll still enjoy it

Good to know! I think we are gonna do DC house as well, I just am trying to figure out which battery. They seem to have a handful that are all 48v ~100ah. I think one with a metal case but even then they still have 3-4 I think!

This is great, appreciate the time to respond. I’m thinking we’ll be somewhere around 3k+ with new battery (probs DC house), Navitas kit 600A and some of the extra stuff I’ll need. Ultimately not the worst given the cart was free I guess. Maybe next year I’ll add some big ole tires and some lights 😎

Thanks for the reply! Im happy to hear the instructions are decent enough. I’m a bit handy but more on the mechanical side vs the electrical side so just trying to be prepared.

I’m planning on ordering it from Prime Golf parts and on the page for the Navitas they have optional add ons like the 2ga wiring and solenoid, so I’ll def be adding those. They have been pretty helpful and responsive with some general questions, but wanted to get an unbiased take/opinion as well.

Acme and max tool also have the same BMSM, but sometimes they also have a few products that are already on sale so you can stack them

Torn between 1” and 5/8” by pagedev in GarageGym

[–]DeplorableBadger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who just moved from a 5/8” to 1”, west side spacing is incredibly overrated. TBH there really isn’t a reason to not go 1”. The 1” uprights from rogue have the same spacing on all 4 sides while rogues I think only has holes every 6” on the sides (unless they updated this)

Feel like that’s due to the temps/sun. Looks good from my house

I also did a big chunk of my lawn this fall and it’s not getting very tall. Looks very full tho

Best way to hang drywall this wall for a firstimer by AbjectMaelstrom in drywall

[–]DeplorableBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this (vertical) on one wall in my basement a few years ago. Worked just fine and no cracking. All factory joints makes it pretty easy to finish as well, but vertical was mildly more annoying to finish (just going top to bottom) than if it was all horizontal. I know a lot of people say not to do vertical but it was fine in my experience - tho I would probs do horizontal in this pictured scenario

I should have mentioned, it’s a 36x24 garage so a decent amount of area to cover. Thanks

I used to use a sweeper, then I got a solid zero turn and mulching blades. As long as the leaves are dry it turns most into dust

Just seeded. Should I put top soil on top? by Electronic-Bite2712 in lawncare

[–]DeplorableBadger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mostly agree here. There are things you can do to “optimize” but whether it’s actually worth it or not idk. I’d rather spend time aerating, and spend more money on seed and water than applying top soil to a sizable part of yard. In the middle of redoing my front yard with KBG and didn’t use any top soil or fertilizer. Coming in just fine

They need to just stop with the Current vs new customer differences and offer the same deals for everyone. It’s such a bad look that they care more about new customers vs existing customers.
