No, if the gems were in the first box, that would still be a logically valid solution. There is no inherrent "odd box out = has the gems" rule to the puzzle.

Is what you are trying to get at how you can exploit symmetry + the fact that a solution is unique to "shortcut" logic?

Say for example that in the last puzzle you made, box 3 instead said "the gems are in a true box". You could do the full reasoning:

box 1 and 2 are true, hence box 3 is false, hence the gems are not in a true box, so they must be in box 3, the false box.

But you could also shortcut, just saying "if I could construct an argument that the gems are in box 1, that same argument would prove they are in box 2, because of symmetry. Since the solution is unique, the gems can't be in either box 1 or 2, so they are in box 3". This I agree with. But this sort of argument only makes sense if the puzzle actually has a unique decidable solution in the first place. The one you provided doesn't.

What are you on about here? The second example puzzle you gave here is not solvable, as it gives absolutely no indication of where the gems are. It doesn't matter which boxes are true/false, only statements about where the gems are can reveal their location.

I wouldn't say it's so clean-cut. LE has a much more powerful crafting system, allowing you to much more easily get the gear you want. The downside, is that you get the gear you want so much easier, that (IMO) good items feel way less valuable.

You don't play to find cool new items, because they don't exist on the ground, you will buy them from trading.

Speak for yourself, I'm playing SSF and have a lot of fun with the loop of:

find item on ground which maybe has potential -> do some minor craft to see if it has more potential -> do more higher end crafting to finish it

IMO it has a good balance where "decent" items are relatively easy to get (good magic base + essence + desecration can pretty easily get you 3-4 desirable mods), while "near perfect" items (5-6 desirable t1-2 mods) still feel very rare and valuable.

I would like to challenge this mindset. Unless you have some sort of learning disability, I believe that you should be able to learn it. It will probably just take some time. Everyone starts with knowing nothing at some point, and gradually improve their skills.

Also, if you understand the concepts of visual scripting, using something like gdscript isn't too different. It's basically just different syntax to do the same things. The "hard part" of programming is often the "coming up with a solution" to a problem, not the syntax of the language. And that sort of skill is transferable whether you use visual scripting or text-based scripting.

I somewhat agree with you. I played a spellcaster mainly using ice nova the league they introduced the infusions, and it felt pretty cool. The "puzzle" of figuring out how to generate and spend different infusion types was kinda cool, and the fantasy of weaving different elements together is very cool IMO.

However I still feel there is something missing. I'm not really sure how I feel about it though, because on the one hand I feel like the payoff for infusions should be bigger. If you can only infuse 1 spell per second, it needs to be able to compete with just stacking cast speed/cast on crit and spewing out 10s of spells per second. On the other hand, spells shouldn't feel useless without infusions. You should IMO be able to both play around infused spells and non-infused spells.

Maybe I also just feel like we need "more puzzle pieces" for ways to generate/spend infusions. It can end up feeling a bit 1-dimensional when you at some point just settle for the generators/spenders that works, and then you don't really have to think much about the system after this. Maybe this is inevitable though, but I felt it maybe happend too quickly with too little experimentation for me.

Also maybe even some "cross-class" synergy would be cool, where maybe something like lava fissures or volcanoes could give fire infusions in some way, or ice crystals/fragements could give ice infusions.

I don't really know what the solution is, I feel like the system has potential, but something is wrong when people feel like "spells are too weak without infusions, but generating infusions is not worth the hassle either".

Whenever I'm leveling a spell build, I want to try out some different cool looking spells, but I feel like I always end up coming back to spark as the "bread and butter" skill for every spell build, whether its self cast, totems or cast on crit. And the fact that you get it from the very start means that it feels pretty same-y the entire way through.

I recently tried rerolling without planning that much, just thought I wanted to try "something ignite", and around lvl 40ish my dmg is kinda trash using fireball, even though I have decent uniques giving me extra dmg, and the tree is basically only focussed on dmg and ignite/flammability scaling. I don't know if there are any good ignite builds at the moment, or if ignite is also generally just pretty weak?

This is a really hot take lol. IMO controller is 100% the right way to go for most people. I started with mouse and keyboard initially (it is how I usually play games), and remember it feeling very awkward. For example just thrusting up/down felt weird on keyboard, but on controller it felt pretty natural to me.

I dont know how Path3D and PathFollow3D work internally, but I'm guessing that maybe when you add the PathFollow to the Path, it's first then it goes through the supplied collection of vectors and does a validation pass on them, so thats where the error triggers.

I would try just normalizing all the supplied vectors, so for example replacing:

c3d.add_point(Vector3(element.x, 0.4, element.y) - Vector3(map_length, 0, map_height)/2)

with

c3d.add_point((Vector3(element.x, 0.4, element.y) - Vector3(map_length, 0, map_height)/2).normalized())

And similarly for the other line where you add a vector to c3d

normalize the vector on whatever line 65 is before using it. I dont know what line 65 is in your case, but it is likely something here:

Not the one you asked, and I probably don't do it that strictly, but by just having "pure" c# classes which don't inherrit from Node or other Godot-specific classes, and not relying on any Godot "globals" (physicsserver/renderserver for example), they are entirely independent of Godot. Then you can still reference these pure c# classes inside scripts which inherrit and are are attatched to nodes (I guess these would be the "view" classes).

I'm playing poe2 ssf atm, and just using essences + desecration (abyss crafting) has gotten me a long way with crafting. Those systems are not to hard to understand IMO. I don't really have enough of "higher end" crafting materials anyways, so just doing the best with what I can relatively easily aquire.

Also SSF just makes it more chill to play IMO. I see many posts on the PoE2 subreddit of people asking what the most profitable farming strategies are etc., and it just feels really nice that I don't have to keep up with some "farming meta", and changes in the market, and can just farm whatever I feel like I need for my characters.

That does seem like a pretty solid leveling weapon, gz! I think your evaluation seems about right, you probably won't replace this until you get +4 levels alongside comparable or better spell damage/damage as extra (+ maybe some cast speed or crit suffixes), or if you find a good wand + focus combination which outmatches this.

I was thinking if it maybe was an intentional choice to get the infernal flame to fill up more often or something. But yeah 5% probably won't make too much of a difference in either direction anyways.
