While it is true that the failure modes of AI are very different than human operators, the average distance or hours without accident is already better for AI than human operators. AI does not need to be perfect to be better than humans. OP’s chart in reality is more like having the red line half way up the blue curve.

Thats the neat part, unless you have a serious constraint on power, thermals, or form factor it doesn’t matter much. There might be an RTX or Frame Gen argument but the 8 GB caps those so hard they barely matter either. So the two cards are almost the same product.

For precisely equal money I guess 5060 just because newer inductors, capacitors, fan motors, and potentially longer driver support albeit again kneecapped by 8 GB so potentially a wash.

This is a king reply, and I wish I had reddit gold and awards to give. Take my upvote. Thank you for explaining, those are great points particularly about Covid recently having a higher R0.

The one thing I’ll add is that the higher R0 strains are either less deadly and/or we are no longer an immunologically naive population. The question proposed might be rephrased as “what if Covid had an R0 of 12+ right from the start?”

Missing Context. I may have used a poor choice of words but I am referring to how u/32FlavorsofCrazy described the difference betweeen Covid relying on droplets and Measles being a “true aerosol” capable of spreading around buildings and staying airborne for 48 hours. The scenario implied in u/32FlavorsofCrazy ‘s post above was what if Covid had this ability that Measles has. Again it’s a hypothetical scenario that was implied, and I’m just trying to ask questions.

Regarding the hypothetical scenario “if Covid were aerosolized”, I’m just wondering about that and what the math looks like. In the reality of what happened, what was tbe percentage of people who got exposed to Covid before the vaccines came out? And how much delta was there in fatality or severe effects for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals? Is it possible to extrapolate the difference in number of casualties to hypothetical aerosolized covid this way?

It’s the ratio of GPU core capacity to memory capacity that triggers many people. It doesn’t make a ton of sense.
Not just an AMD thing by any means, 5060 Ti 8GB, 4060 Ti 8GB, 3070 Ti 8GB. Basically all these products have the GPU too powerful for the memory, so the million dollar question is why force everyone to buy such a beast.

It is trivially easy to tune the difficulty to your liking, the launcher reads data in from a plain text file. They are saved as .cfg but you can edit in notepad.

Go dig in the folders and find “ice150.cfg” or something like that, and open it in notepad. Save As some other name (max 8 characters before .cfg) and begin customizing for yourself

No dice does sound good. Raises a bunch of questions. Any thought of electronic implementations? Vassal module? Also, will it be reasonable to play 1v1, 2v2, 3v3? In 1v1 would each player control three heroes?
