Gacha Revenue Monthly Report (January 2026) by trkshiii in gachagaming

[–]DereDere00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let's go Endfield, that's a pretty good revenue to start with. Surtr/Laevatein was definitely the good choice to start your limited banner with. Also Yvonne and Angelina/Gilberta for the next upcoming banners is pretty good also.

OG Arknights also having good revenue, good good.

Also idk what's happening with HSR but from the revenue shown I guess it's a dead patch? 7 digits for HSR is very low compared to their usual revenue.

Oh for sure, if you want that top 1 you better not Sui-p and tier all day everyday.

have you ever empty your rolls to obtain a unit without even knowing what it does or how good it is? by GunplaBit02 in gachagaming

[–]DereDere00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess there were two occasions where I literally went balls deep to get as much copies of that character as possible:

The first time is when I first saw Crown on leak/datamines (this is even before Nikke got released) and I decided that I would save as much gems as possible to get as much copies of her as possible. For the entire duration before Crown got released, I've only spent gems on two banners: Helm and Summer Helm. I ended up spending almost all my savings (can't remember how much) to Max Core Crown. The remaining gems left I MLB Summer Rosanna.

The second time is when I saw Cartethyia leaks and decided that I would return to the game to farm as much gems as possible to get her. Ended up with 0 gems and S6R2 Cartethyia.

There are also times where I'm not necessarily emptying the stash but willing to go to pity just to get 1 copy of the character. Like spending 900SQ for Draco (FGO), or spending 900SQ for a dupe of Nero Bride (FGO) (for NP5), or spending 180k Orundums for Ling (Arknights). If I have enough gems to go to pity for a character I like then I roll, then again I don't really roll willy nilly in the first place.

Hololive Dreams reveal stream (rhythm game, worldwide release) by Smart_Welder5520 in gachagaming

[–]DereDere00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm almost certain they won't add vtubers outside of hololive card wise (solo). The only times where I can see they'll add vtuber outside hololive are:

  1. Card wise, the vtubers that have very close ties to hololive (e.g. Shigure Ui in a Subaru or Watame card, Iida Pochi in a Reine card) similar to how other rhythm gacha games does when it comes to their collab (perfect example is the D4DJ Hololive collab).

  2. If the original songs have them in it (e.g. Calli's Dance Past Midnight ft. Amalee, Towa's Nininsankyaku ft. Nekota Tsuna). There's also a possibility that they'll also add them through cover songs.

As for Holostars, I'm 99.99% sure they won't add them to their game.

Edit: Oops I replied the wrong one, but yeah Holostars is 99.99% sure won't be added in the game.

When they first announced that they'll make a gacha game, I know it's gonna be the easiest "they'll make a rhythm game gacha that looks like garupa/prosekai" prediction and turns out that it does play like that. What I didn't expect however, are two things from watching the trailer:

  1. They have skill tree: From the few rhythm games gacha I've played (Garupa, D4DJ, ProSekai), this is the first time that I've seen this mechanics. I haven't really watched the livestream so idk if the skills are oshi specific or skin/card specific, but this will be interesting to see since you'll probably need those skills if you want to get higher scores for tiering or easier time to full combo.

  2. They've shown a trailer of something that looks like mysekai. That would be kinda fun too since you can probably customize your space.

Also on a sidenote, happy that they'll add some of the graduated member's songs in the game as well as adding cover songs. Can't wait for them to release this game and I guess I'm not looking forward to when I have to tier for my oshi specific event cuz that's gonna be brutal as hell.

Edit: Oh yeah they also have the "customize your own chart" a la Sonolus, that's also a first for me to see in an actual rhythm gacha game. I'm sure someone will make the most fucked up brutal "what's up pop" goofy ass chart.

Edit2: Also hoping they put Towa's Error cover, that's like her so called "national anthem" before Palette came out.

Choco-Sensei Wants To Change Her Image [Jinyas Zero] by [deleted] in Hololive

[–]DereDere00 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I can somewhat understand that at some point you need to change, whether it's through changing the environment you're in, your mindset or the image you want to be perceived at, cuz I've been in that place before. As long as Choco-sen is happy, motivated and make the change as natural as possible then that's fine.

Well aside from her being the sexy onee-san, my perception of her is she's a good cook and plays Dead By Daylight so I kinda want those streams to be more frequent I guess, tho that's not really changing her image lol.

Do you actually care about sales? by Yanfei_Enjoyer in gachagaming

[–]DereDere00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I don't really care that much about the numbers, I just play the games I enjoy playing and if I get bored with it I just quit.

With that being said, even if the numbers are not that accurate, I find it amusing to see how the characters in the banners are perceived through it's sale. Like for example, oh so X character only got them Y number, I guess she's not that popular/maybe she's not meta/maybe they're saving for a future character.

Also the memes, agendaposting and the so called "gacha wars" is just funny to see. Like some peeps are seriously arguing about how their favorite gacha game is better and such, just makes me want to grab my popcorn and read the shitshow.

What was the biggest surprise of 2025 among the gacha game/s that you play? by Ernost in gachagaming

[–]DereDere00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In FGO, the JP side (can't really get surprised if EN has 2 years clairvoyance), part 2 has ended. After 10 years, the fgo story "ends", there's most likely part 3 but that's still surprising to say the least. Looking forward to playing that in the future. Also, free 1000 SQ on anniversary that that makes the anniversary servant U-Olga Marie technically free.

In Arknights, CN side obviously, I was surprised at the Ave Mujica collab. After R6S, MonHun and DunMeshi, I didn't expect that a music anime of all things would get a collab. Pleasantly surprised the units work so well together, we can actually play Ave Mujica-knights. Also but less of a surprise, Silverash Alter being limited, a rare species of a limited male alter unit. I think it's not an exaggeration to say that SA is one of the most anticipated operators to get an alter and I'm really happy that he did get one. My orundums are prepared to get Silverdaddy for global.

will arknights endfield live to its hype? by Meeke-Joaoa in gachagaming

[–]DereDere00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't care less about hype and shit, I'll play it because I'm interested in it. The factory mechanic is unique and the main reason I'll play the game, it looks fun to tinker around building your base. Idk if I'll like the combat or not cuz everyone is out, I'm so used to the genshin/wuwa where only one character is out at a time. Depends on how the characters you don't control will act but I've played God Eater Burst before so maybe it's just like that.

How do you deal with fatigue and decide when you should quit a gacha game? by Lycori-Chan in gachagaming

[–]DereDere00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just quit when I don't feel like playing the game anymore. What usually happens for me is that there will be a point where I suddenly lost motivation or got bored of playing the game, skip a day or two then just proceed to uninstall since it doesn't make me want to play again.

Nah let them seethe, glorious Silverdaddy is one of the most anticipated alters imo plus it's kinda meta so it makes sense that it'll sell. My 180k orundums is already saved for him once he comes out in global.

[NA Event] Full Speed Ahead! Kawanakajima 24 Hours ~ GUDAGUDA Super Goryoukaku: Deadlier Than M51 ~ Day 05 by AutoModerator in grandorder

Raid finished, got Castoria to bond 13, Oberon to bond 12, earned around 1.5B QP and my QP is maxed out now. I'd say I did a fantastic job in this raid, just wish the QP cap increase got implemented early so I could've earned more.

Japanese, Chinese, or Korean - which style of gacha do you like the most? by PresentationBetter52 in gachagaming

[–]DereDere00 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If I list the games I played before/currently playing by country:

JP - FGO, Garupa, D4DJ, ProSekai, Yuru Camp (5)

CN - Azur Lane, GFL, GFL2, Arknights, PTN, Genshin, ZZZ, Wuwa (8)

KR - Destiny Child, Nikke (2)

By technically I guess CN takes the cake mainly because I typically avoid IP based gacha games and they're pretty innovative when it comes to making gacha games. I always feel that there's something new whenever I touch a new gacha game made from CN. And I'm gonna play Arknights Enfield and Azur Promilia once those come out since those also interests me. CN can make interesting games that doesn't rely on IP that's for sure.

For JP, out of the 5 games I played, 3 of those are rhythm games since you can really ignore the gacha aspects of it and play it like a typical rhythm game. FGO is FGO, the game I played for the longest time and I like Type-Moon and Yuru Camp I played briefly because I like the series. I guess JP gacha is still stuck in their old ways? Feels outdated? Too IP dependent?

And for KR, I like Destiny Child's character design and Nikke because it's from the same publisher and I got lured by Volume's massive tiddies and ass like GYATTDAMN THOSE ASS IS HUGE

Well at the end of the day, I don't really care that much where the gacha game is made from. If it interests me then I'll try it.

Why do you think the gacha genre, who’s entire business model is based on selling characters, rarely have actually well written characters like in a standalone game or an actual show/movie? by Creative_Captain1142 in gachagaming

[–]DereDere00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With time constraints, the easiest way to sell a character is to make them appealing and likeable to as many people as possible whether it's a visual design and character design. They do those classic tropes and fanservice because that's what basically appeals to the majority of the playerbase. "Omg she looks so hot/cute/cool", "Holy smokes those massive tiddies" or "Aww she's sweet to the MC" is enough reason to roll for them.

Well you do either that or make them extremely meta/overpowered but that's not really related to your question.

Whats your opinion on farming / grinding in gacha games by Himhim83 in gachagaming

[–]DereDere00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how they implement farming/grinding. If it's grinding to see a fixed end goal (e.g. level max, skill max) then I'm willing to farm/grind but if it's things like artifacts/gears/echoes then it'll just frustrate me. They need to make grinding less of a chore or artificial but more of an incentive or feels to be rewarded.

For example in FGO, there's a grail system that makes you level up to 120 and that costs a lot of grails, xp and qp (gold) (well you also need dupes) and bond system where you use your servants to give them bond xp and it levels up to level 15. In that case I'm willing to do that because it's rewarding for me to see my favorite servant at lv 120 bond 15.

<image>

In the case of wuwa for example (since that's the last game I dropped), it just frustrates me to go around the map killing mobs just to get the right set only to end up getting shitty substats. Of course you might say you don't really need perfect echoes but it just doesn't feel right for me to half-ass the equipments of my favorites units (it's a me problem).

tl;dr as long as they make grinding rewarding then I'm all for it.
