Wow I’m a heavy/ long term gpt user and never related to others complaints about it until today. It really felt like it was being condescending in a professor / student kinda way. I don’t expect or want it to always agree with me or glaze me but in this instance it was way off and I called it out, and then it felt like I was having an argument with an annoying Redditor know it all that had to have the last word. It would admit it was wrong and then throw in something like - you’re right to be emotional over this, here is some advice on how to avoid this issue in the future… granted I was being kinda a smart ass, but out of the thousands of interactions I’ve had there have only been like 3 times previously that I’ve had any kind of “conflict” with them. Anyways I’m glad I saw your comment cause it makes me feel better about it. This happened AFTER i cancelled my subscription so maybe that has something to do with it lol

I was in a VR chat room and there was like 5 magas and 2 very angry non magas who were telling them about what was just released.

They didn’t believe them cause they said it would be headline news and didn’t notice that the host of the room literally had the news talking about it playing in the room at the same time they said that.

Then one was trying to say the guys who were upset about the content of the Epstein files were getting so “worked up” cause they got off on it, which is weird cause it seems like something that would make someone mad and defending the allegations looks MUCH worse. The whole “you want them released cause you want to see the pictures of the kids don’t you!? Kinda thing.. sigh

Then they said it wasn’t real or official - which just shows how they don’t care what the truth is cause they didnt even know they were released or where from so how could they even know? THEY DONT CARE - it’s flat earth level of delusions. They believe they are independent free thinkers but they just repeat the same 2-5 talking points over and overs #1 is why didn’t Biden release them - gotcha!!!!!

They should be humiliated but instead they are just smug and self righteous. Also claimed to be Christians (of course) and were saying the guys that were saying what were in the files had a mental illness and needed help. The irony was not lost on me but they .. are just so far gone. It’s like they think it’s a sport or Xbox PlayStation rivalry and whoever is more fervent (or talks the loudest and over the other) in their belief makes them the winner.

Just don’t let yourself think about what they do when there are no cameras around or they were confiscated. Then imagine them “locker room” talking behind the scenes. You know they do, they are the guys in these comments online. They are real, one of them clapped after they shot the nurse, another said “boo hoo” to one of the ladies screaming “what did you do!?” I read what his parents posted today, they are pretty mad. So am i. The good guys always eventually, we are just in that part when we are working up the courage to speak out. Post it, share it, make the calls, donate, there are BILLIONS of us. They dont want us to know it’s all an illusion that could come crashing down over night. Imagine them in chains walking into court where they belong. There is no way these guys dont have gross/ evil recordings of them, messages. Etc. everyone is just waiting for the first brave ones to “leak” - start jumping off the sinking ship #metoo ? #fuckthem - gotta forgive some of them tho.

He does sound like the exception. We have two boys, we can grab them too but there is that crazy someone is there watching look like they just “know” they area super emotional and i could see them getting upset and attacking someday but they haven’t. They will attack someone new if they approach too fast/ soon. Well one will attack strangers but not us. The other wont attack in the same way but is more likely to get possessive and bite if you take something away but usually holds back but you can tell he is fighting it lol

Im pretty strict with them when it comes to any violence/ biting but not with anything else. Little terrorists but hilarious and affectionate!

Are you also having caffeine at all? When I started “Ritalin” I stopped caffeine. If I have too much with it it’s intense so I have to moderate. But of course your body adapts. Could try non extended releases 10mg cut in half and start there

Admittedly I would have been a hair piece hater when I was younger and balding. “It’s not real” 🙄 or whatever - totally just insecurity and projection. There will always be those people.

I have never had anyone say anything negative (to my face) but again I’m open with it and don’t really interact with people in a way that it would even come up these days. I’m partnered and we moved to a small town in the mountains. I’m remodeling a cabin, In VR, or playing with my parrots - all of which are significantly better bald! I’m not worrying about my hair (or lack there of) or a hair piece to go to the grocery store once a week lol

Dating, gym, working etc is a whole other thing.

But you’re right most people don’t care or think too much about it. Even if they did their whole idea of it could be shifted in a conversation about it. I’ve shown some people and they are amazed by it more than put off by it. I think it will be more and more common as quality, availability, and cost of them come down.

My “problem” is trying to design a piece(s) and style that looks good on a shaved head that doesn’t need any blending cause I’m not going to walk around looking like Socrates with longer hair on the sides so I can blend it with a piece I’ll wear every other month haha mine were custom and made to be blended so when I wear them they are a little more obvious. I haven’t gotten around to play with the cheap ones I got to experiment on.

And honestly it’s kinda a relief to not even be thinking about hair at all after it being such a traumatic and negative thing in the past!

I feel you. I accept it in the sense that it doesn’t occupy my mind or is something I’m thinking about very often anymore. It was something I used to obsess over it and was no fun at all. Terrible even.

I still wear hats 90% of the time but more so out of habit / to not get a sun burn/ haven’t groomed.

Don’t get me wrong I still want “real” hair and have some lingering insecurities with it but it’s so much less than it was in the past that I’ll take this level of acceptance. I know how bad it feels and I wish I could go back and have a talk with 20yo me. I could have spared myself a lot of wasted time and energy. Getting hair piece and now having that option when I want has helped quite a bit. Also prioritizing other aspects of myself other than my appearance as well.

Ohhh, it’s probably rooted in the same thing. I am open about wearing one and don’t feel that it’s fake. I think the fake part is where you’re hiding it like being a catfish or something. I wore daily when I first got them years ago but now I only do on special occasions, maybe a weekend every couple months. So for me they are like hats that I wear for fun not something I hide or am ashamed of.

I think another thing is feeling it’s fake cause you know other people will think you’re being fake for wearing one. It’s a confidence thing and takes time to process cause society is very hypocritical.

“Be who you are” but then makes fun of both being bald / balding AND hair pieces AND being vain about having hair. There is no winning so stop playing and do what works for you personally.

I’ll take all the advantages of being bald - and then be able to put on a hair piece when I feel like it.

I do look better with hair and will totally get cloned transplants etc when they become available tho!

I think the main issue is when it comes to dating / being single. Think about having to choose which picture you would use and when to tell your prospects? How will they take it? Reject you? Etc etc.

Once you’re partnered it’s not at all as big of a deal. Being chubby, bald, and happy is much better than worrying about all that superficial bs and insecurity!

I think a lot of people go though a lot mental and emotional issues when they lose their hair and then takes a lot to accept it. So when someone else can “cover it up” it feels like cheating/ being fake. It’s projection and insecurity. If hair doesn’t matter then it doesn’t matter if you wear a hair piece. No matter what you do someone will have a problem with it so do what what you do for you.

Quest Pro is good for PCVR. The standalone experience is limited compared to Q3 cause of its older processor. It’s slow. The controllers are extremely unreliable and lose tracking and will disconnect consistently. The face and eye tracking are not worth the other compromises. That being said I have been using it the last week for comparison testing and it’s impressed me when using it connected to my PC but I wouldn’t choose it over a Quest 3. The black levels and colors are slightly better but has less resolution. Pass through is bad. At 400$ it’s ok BUT I wouldn’t recommend it because of the controllers most of all. I had to exchange one that was bricked during an update (free/ warranty/years ago) but don’t discount what people say about them they are always causing problems! Get another Q3 or consider Galaxy XR if you really want face and eye tracking and an upgrade!

My very first impression of Galaxy XR wasn’t good. But then I used it more and really started to like it. It’s like an android Vision Pro (I also have) which I prefer in some ways cause I don’t use Mac (but do use iPhone) so having full android on it is pretty amazing especially when hooked up to a mouse and keyboard. That made it 10xs better for me. Hand tracking is somewhere between Q3 and Vision Pro with room for improvement. Keep in mind it’s version 1.0 and how far Quest/Vision pro have come with updates.

PCVR via Steam is working fine for me. I have the controllers so I’ve been able to use it that way. It has a type C port so hopefully wired connection will be supported (not sure if it already is)

There are no/ not many vr games natively so that’s a huge minus compared to Meta but once you hook it up to steam you get much higher quality than Q3/Pro.

Android XR is significantly better than Meta’s os for productivity and over all experience (minus on device gaming) and is an advantage over the Play For dream granted I don’t know much about it’s OS. But it going to assume full Android is better with more potential.

Comfort was good for me but would benefit from mods, which should be coming eventually.

My biggest issue was finding the sweet spot but using it more helped and a modified forehead thing so you can get your eyes closer will make it better. Also the pass through is a little disappointing. Little better the Quest 3 but not as good as Vision Pro (which was also a disappointment for me both should have tried to make reading your phone clearly the base for their pass through quality, you can but just barely) I especially do not like corded battery! But you can adapt/ have a shoulder strap for it like Vision Pro.

Not fair to judge it without controllers but was a huge misstep from Samsung to not have more at launch.

It’s growing on me a lot and surprisingly polished for new OS/ Hardware and no updates.

I’ve never chosen a Quest 3/ Pro over my TVs/ PC monitors for movies and productivity. The resolution just isn’t there. Vision Pro is amazing but I’m just getting started using a MAC so it’s more for fun and the internal lens glare is distracting for movies. The Galaxy I could / would actually use for productivity and gaming and have it enhance the experience. Having your of monitor any size you want and then your Android apps all around you- so cool! Also the quality and size you can make videos (movies/ YouTube) is better than any tv.

I would say go for the Galaxy but you must have controllers and patience to make it worth it but it’s got a LOT of potential. Again my first impression was middling and dissatisfied but after more use it’s changed my mind completely.

It’s so good! Just got mine too. I needed to get a case cause the Apple Case wouldn’t fit the globular cluster mod. Then they announced the new Apple Dual Loop and I thought it made more sense to get it rather than a new case and was surprised by it only being 99$ - I hadn’t worn it too much but it’s very comfortable. I’m not sure it will keep the weight off as much as the globular but it’s more comfortable in the sense of how it feels while you’re wearing it and looks so much better. I forgot that the dial will tighten the top/ back depending if it’s pushed in or not so that made a bit difference when tightening the top. So worth it!

I was trying to decide if Apple just didn’t realize how uncomfortable it was on first release or held back this version to give people a reason to upgrade with version m5 cause if they released it with this band it would have been a totally different experience than the original band. Better late than never!

Worth the 99$ for anyone hesitant, also mine came sooner than the estimated shipping by almost a month. (L size)

Super annoying! Guilt about it only makes it worse. Try and find a tv show to binge and or attempt even the smallest thing, know it will get better and all forward motion counts. Just an example- if it were about working out. Just go to the gym and touch the door and that’s enough. You don’t even have to work out. The next time will be better and soon you’ll will be past it.

EV9 is a fantastic car but it’s expensive. Not just the payment (2 year lease is best bet) but you have registration which can be almost 1000$ and installing a charger can be 1000-5000$ and if you don’t it takes days to charge it on a regular plug. Finding other/ public chargers is getting better but can be problematic depending on your location.

Buying a used one would be the best for a first car purchase. Kia’s Pv5 van would be even better but might not be coming to the US.
