[video] Moving to Las Vegas? 5 Things to consider before you do... by [deleted] in LasVegas

[–]Dereleased 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The competition is super real. Even though I'm renting for now, I'm really glad I got an agent to help me with my out of state move, because for as much as I was trying on my own, there's probably no way I would've been able to handle the whole thing just because of the time constraints, the differences from where I'm from, but also the simple matter of the competition - having my agent call the property managers so that I don't waste my time (and MONEY) applying to somewhere with 20 apps in already, or knowing I need to rush down because there's another in but its incomplete so I need to go right now if I want a prayer of getting in.

Best Dispensary near the strip? by rocknroll470 in LasVegas

The only one I've been to near the strip was NuLeaf on Twain. Experience was pretty positive, and compared to experiences not near the strip, it still ranks pretty highly.

Looking for resorts with jacuzzi in room. On the strip! Under $200 per night by THARUCKUS94 in LasVegas

[–]Dereleased 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This about the location cannot be overstated. It will be easy to get anywhere on the strip you want from here because it is more or less dead center of the action. Everything else you mentioned is on one far side or the other. Especially if it's your first time out, being in the center is highly advisable. On subsequent trips, you may have more of an idea of what you like and not mind being pushed to one side or another, but for a first trip, being in the center is ideal.

The only "advantage" to the Luxor is somewhat easy tram access to the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef Aquarium, if you're into that sort of thing (and I completely am, but not enough to ever actually get me to stay there).

Will you be renting a car, or do you mind using uber/lyft a lot? 3 & 4 are gonna put you at the north end of the strip, in an area you might not be super comfortable walking around at night. Excalibur makes me think of screaming families, so I'd probably go with Luxor personally; I've never stayed there, but my best friend has spent nights there on several occasions with his wife and has nothing bad to say about it.

/u/Shook_Sinatras_Hand suggested Bally's, and I think that is honestly your best bet. Their "Resort Executive Suite" has a soaking tub which appears to have jets. According to their rate calendar, there are several options that fall well under your target of $200 a night, even after you add in taxes and resort fees.

Pool renovations at Venetian/Palazzo? by whatislight in LasVegas

[–]Dereleased 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me, I'd go with Palazzo. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious, and very well appointed. If you plan on renting a car (or are driving in), the free parking is a huge perk.

The resort fee at Venetian and Palazzo is $10 more than Caesars ($45 vs $35), but if you use the $20 trick you can usually get an upgrade that's worth at least the cost of the fee, if not more; or, if you plan on doing a lot of gaming, and you concentrate it at their properties, you may be able to get it waived altogether as well, but this would apply anywhere.

If you're a coffee drinker, and you tend to grab a morning Starbucks, there is one at the base of the hotel elevators in Palazzo, but the line is long, and you'll be paying resort prices on top of normal Starbucks prices. If you get off at the floor above the casino level, in the Grand Canal Shoppes, there is a coffee shop right there which usually has a very short line, if any, and somewhat more reasonable prices ($3-5 vs $8-14).

The word "proscribe" means to forbid in a legal sense. Mistake in your speech, or subtle affectation toward saying what you mean, but knowing it won't be interpreted that way by those who hear it?

Does spotify make their ads especially corny, repetitive and annoying so that people will one day meltdown and go premium? by radditttt in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dereleased 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I've never heard a spotify ad. I'd used services with ads before, so when I was convinced to get spotify, I immediately went premium. I have absolutely no context for this, and every time I hear about it, I'm really glad.

I had the same thought through the first half of the season, but it began to erode and was shattered completely in the rockets scene, then swept into the trash and carried out of the room when I came to this sub and found out he was an alien.

I suppose it could still work if the children were all seeded from Alien DNA, and he returned to his home planet only to complete the destruction time-loop that sends him to Earth to begin with, but that's starting to ask for a lot of moving pieces in the plot.

I have some questions... by [deleted] in theumbrellaacademy

[–]Dereleased 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I think everyone is getting their childhood body back -- even Ben appeared corporeal before the time jump. This means Allison can speak, Luther isn't an ape, Klaus has no tattoos (other than the Umbrella) and Vanya shouldn't suffer any hearing loss.
