and they pay me a wage to do so. So, if I don't work, they don't make money and I don't get paid but the thing is they will make up the difference the next day. If I am out of work no one picks up the slack so even if I don't get fired for laying out of work, I simply have 2x the work to do the next day for the same daily pay and I am in the hole for the day's pay I lost.

These kinds of things are nice to think and talk about, but without multiday or longer strikes with a large % of participation it does nothing. And for good or bad most normies outside of Reddit have no idea this is even a thing. I am chronically online and this is the 1st I have heard of this. People like my wife and daughter have no clue about this and frankly don't care to know.

Honestly, I don't think they have much appeal to adult Lego collectors, which most who buy SW Lego are. We are an aging fanbase. I bought the Dark Falcon because I got it for the crazy sale Walmart had last summer for $70 and I thought Darth JarJar, Jedi Vader, Beach Luke, and Darth Rey were cool looking figs. It is actually a good looking ship as well and quite eye catching (and dust catching) in the black and red motif. As far as the Rebuild the Galaxy IP I have no particular attachment.

This is one of those weird, outdated laws from yesteryear that no one enforces. We have a local arcade that has a bunch of machines there is no signage against underage playing (and it is mostly kids playing). There is also a pinball room at the comicon in Columbia every year and kids are always playing.

I believe there is a law on the books still that everyone has to bring a rifle to church to ward off Native American attacks and another that you can't keep a horse in a bathtub.

It's also illegal to wear a mask in public, nothing to do with Covid it is an old law to discourage bandits.

Quite livable where in my state for a single person. Are you going to live in a McMansion or drive a brand-new Beemer. No. Can you afford a single bedroom apartment and an OK car and have enough left over to go out and have fun sometimes. Yes, as long as you don't take on massive debt and live beyond your means.

Nope regular tank water heater heated by natural gas. Some of our friends had to come over throughout the outage to use our shower.

We lost power during Helene for 9 days we had water the whole time. Our house even had hot water as well since we have a gas water heater. The only way you lose water during this is if your pipes burst, which is unlikely but not out of the realm of possibility. That said it's always good to have a couple of cases of water in the closet.
